Snowflakes fall, Leprechauns crawl,
But what about the Fall?
Deep within the dark lies a special surprise,
Waiting to scare and pop out your eyes.
Vines grow up and choke the buildings,
Skeletons rise to chase the fieldlings.
Zombies moan and ghouls they groan,
Bats and cats sing in deep tone.
Jumping out from beyond the fire,
Covered in flames is the vampire.
Battling the werewolf and bringing distress,
A battle so glorious even the Pumpkin King was impressed.
A scarecrow who stood in the field,
Surrounded by pumpkins and all those who'd yield.
Witches brew and monsters spew,
Sights and sounds you never knew.
Prepare to be alone in the dark,
Chased by hounds as they snarl and bark.
Running through trees and into the fog,
As you sink slowly into the bog.
Run faster and run towards the light,
A fire in the distance that is burning bright.
The fire belongs to a set of eyes,
And a mouth smiling devilish and wide.
Run towards the scarecrow with your nightmares behind,
Bow before him, your mistakes you can't rewind.
Run faster from these creatures never seen,
Fitting your last day is on Halloween.
