"What time is it?" I ask.

"Midnight."

My eyes widened. "Wow."

It's so late.

If my mother knew I was up this late, I'll be taken to the ranch.

"Are you hungry?" Jeno asks me.

"Mm, just a little."

"Me too. Want to prepare the ramen we got from the store earlier?"

"Ok."

He gets up and leaves the room before me.

It's awkward now.

Because of me.

Is this what staying up late does to people? Make them weird and impulsive? Because that's what it did to me and I'm not happy about it.

I follow Jeno down the stairs and to the kitchen.

"Can you grab two bowls for me?" Jeno orders.

"Alright."

I do as told and place the bowls on the island across the oven.

Jeno swiftly opens two of the ramen packets and dumped it all into one pot with all the seasoning.

"You can wait on the couch." He says.

"Oh, ok."

It's so, so awkward now.

:jeno:

I just saw her bra.

:sky:

The ramen is prepared and sitting nicely on the island. I walk over and sit next to Jeno.

"Enjoy." He plainly cheers and digs into his food.

"Thanks."

:jeno:

It was black.

We both ate.

It was good.

"Want to go outside?" He asks.

"Sure."

We go outside to his backyard.

He turns on the lights and the yard brightens up beautifully around us.

We walk over to his lounge chairs by a fire pit.

"I'll start a fire." He says.

"Ok."

He starts a fire in the pit and the warmth was satisfying.

"It's pretty." I say.

"Yeah." He agrees.

Jeno sits in on lounge chair and I sit on the one next to his. He didn't lay down, he just sat up straight with his feet on the floor and stared at the blazing fire.

I frowned.

He looked a bit sad.

"Jeno?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm really sorry for making you uncomfortable earlier." I look at the ground. "I was not thinking and just said things out of nowhere....and did things out of nowhere."

"Sky."

I look at him.

He smiles. "It's really ok. Don't feel bad about it. You made this night really interesting if I'm being honest."
