3 months later:

Monday morning. The bane of Adelaide's life. She did her usual morning routine, got up, ate, brushed her teeth and left her house. She walked to school and met up with Brodie at the lockers, greeting him with a sneaky kiss since no one was around. The past three months had been tough, but it finally felt like their group was getting somewhere. Oscar was less weird around Adelaide and they started talking to each other again. They mainly talked about school but any topic of conversation made Adelaide happy. Mr Harris was no longer allowed to teach at the school and lost his teaching license but had found another job. Brodie was right about him and Alaya staying together though. They worked everything out together as a couple and were back on track. Since Dylan was no longer a teacher at the school, it took some of the stress and pressure off their relationship. They no longer had to hide it. However Alaya often ditched school because her relationship with Mr Harris had been made very public the week after the ski trip. Lachlan was the one who told the whole class and the year group about them. Kellie and Josh were still a couple and he had been so lovely and supportive to her throughout this whole nightmare however one thing wasn't the same. Alaya and Kellie did not get along. Alaya blamed Kellie for the whole ordeal since she was the one who had told Ms Murphy about Mr Harris. Adelaide felt sorry for both of them. The girls only really talked when she was around. Adelaide felt like the only reason they made small talk was for her sake and even then on particular days they would be bitter towards one another, barley giving the other a second glance. It was hard for Adelaide, seeing her best friends unable to speak to each other.

Brodie and Adelaide walked into their tutorial classroom and waited for the rest of the class to arrive. Kellie was first.
"Is Alaya in today?" She asked as soon as she saw the pair.
"I don't know, I haven't spoken to her at all this weekend. Why?" Adelaide was curious. Why was Kellie all of a sudden concerned about Alaya's whereabouts?
"She texted me last night. She wants to talk." She informed them. Adelaide bit her lip, there was no way Alaya wanted to have a civilized conversation with Kellie. Her thoughts were interrupted when Oscar walked in. He glanced at Kellie then hesitated.
"Alaya wants to meet up with you after school, I'll go with you." He said before walking past the table to the back of the room.
"Bro, sit up here, there's a spare seat?" Brodie offered but Oscar declined. Brodie looked to Adelaide, he wasn't surprised. Recently Oscar had been distancing himself from Brodie too. Adelaide couldn't help but feel responsible.

The day dragged by and Adelaide was more then relieved when the bell for home time rang. She thought about Kellie and Oscar who were going to see Alaya. She didn't want to be involved but yet some part of her felt like she was being left out. She was always the one who tried to fix things in the group but now she'd have to leave it up to them, to Oscar.

Oscar waited for Kellie at the lockers, he didn't want to act as the "mediator" between her and Alaya but Alaya had asked him to be with her. Ever since the ski trip, Oscar and Alaya had gotten closer and he supported her when they didn't know if Mr Harris was going to jail or not. Of course Adelaide and Brodie had been supportive too but they tried to remain neutral. Kellie finally showed up.
"I feel like your leading me to my death" she joked trying to make light of the situation. Oscar cracked a smile but didn't say anything. They left the school and met up with Alaya in the local park beside the school. Alaya walked up to the both of them, stopping a few feet before she reached them. They stared at each other. Oscar couldn't help but feel like it resembled an old western movie stand off and attempted to hold in his laughter.
"Alaya, I know you must be angry at me......" Kellie started, breaking the silence.
"Angry?" Alaya cackled.
"It was wrong Alaya, he was your teacher!" Kellie justified. Oscar lowered his head, he didn't want them to have a screaming match in the middle of a public park. Alaya laughed at the audacity of Kellie's answer.
"So what if he was my teacher, we were....are, in a happy relationship!" She said calmly.
"Oh really? I find that hard to believe!"
"I love him, Kellie!" Alaya yelled.
"Listen to yourself Alaya! He's manipulated you! You don't even know what love is." Oscar stopped her from saying anymore.
