"Julie." I say, taking her hand. She looks down at it and back up at me, thankfully she doesn't stop me.

"What?" She asks.

"What're you thinking about?" I ask.

"How annoying you are." I scoff.

"Ouch babe."

"Don't call me that."

"Why not?"

"Because that's not my name, my name is Julie."

"You're name is beauty." I correct her.

"And your name is idiot." She deadpans.

"You're so mean." I grumble and she smiles. "Wanna play a game?" I ask.

"Probably not." She shakes her head.

  "Truth or dare."

  "Seriously?"

"Yes. So pick one, truth or dare?"

  "Truth." She sighs.

"Ok," I think. "Is it true that you love me?"

  "No." She instantly answers.

  "No? You don't love me?"

"No. Love is such a strong word."

"Yeah. So even if I said I love you you still wouldn't love me?" I ask. She looks at me.

"I-I don't know." She shrugs. "You're turn. Truth or dare?"

  "Truth."

"Ok... Is it true that you loved my sister?" She asks and I tense.

  "Yes." I nod.

"I wish I knew her." She looks at her feet.

"She would've loved you. Family was everything to her."

"And my mom. I wish I knew her."

"Yeah, she would've loved you too. I never meant her, obviously, but she loved Sadie very much and she would love you very much too."

"Why did they put me in foster care?" She asks me.

"I'm not sure. Maybe because they already had one child, they couldn't risk two when they were both gang leaders."

"Or maybe it was because they didn't want me." She says quietly and I stop walking and look down at her.

"Hey, that's not true." I hug her. "They did want you. They were just trying to make life better for you. That's all." I explain, rubbing her back.

"Ok." She nods. "Let's keep playing." She changes the subject.

"Who's turn is it?" I ask.

  "Mine."

  "Ok, truth or dare?"

  "Dare."

"Ooh, Julie's finally stepping out of her comfort zone." I smirk.

"Shut up." She rolls her eyes.

"Ok, I dare you to go sing happy birthday to that couple over there." I point to a couple making out.

"Uh uh." She shakes her head. "I'm not interrupting that."

"You said dare. You have to do it." I smirk. She sighs and walks over to them.

I laugh as she just starts singing to them and they stop and give her a weird look. Once she finishes she quickly runs back over to me.

"That was embarrassing." She says with her face all red. I laugh and pay her head.
