CHAPTER 34: The Beginning Of An End

"Late last night Atlesian government officials have waged war upon the Fauna people, a small town on the coast of the Vale kingdom was brutally attacked late last night when warships began to dock onto the dark sands of the small, free island of Muastra, Danzig.

The island set ablaze and taken over by military soldiers, it is not known if there are no known survivors left on the island."

The professor turned the overhead off and the lights slowly came back on, the class in silence as the last picture to show was a raging fire eating buildings and people alike.

"This is quite the tragedy students, it feels as if we are at the front of war."

"I can only give my best wishes to those who have suffered last night. I'd like to say that things will be fine."

The students continued to be silent, the tick of the clock kept going. A rythmic beat following suit.

"But that's what we're here for students, to better the world, to stop tragedies like this from happening."

"You are the protectors of our future students, there will be bumps and bruises along this road, but be strong."

"We are here to prepare you for those matters, to help better your understanding of the world around us."

The clock slowed it's tick, the bell ringing loudly as students one by one began to make way to their last classes.

"It's been a long day." Lavender said while unwrapping a sucker, "At least we have Oobleck to Deal with now."
He then crushed it's plastic covering and tossed it aside.

Well, let's get on with it then." Lavender then proceeded to get up and push his metal chair in. 
"What do you think he's going to rant about this time boys?" The twins both pulled faces at each other and grabbed their wallets. "Fifty Lien on Oobleck talking about the power of medicine for an hour." Lavender opened his hand and took the cash as he turned to see Reyah pulling 100 Lien out of her cleavage and added it to the sum.
"Hundred on Mr. O going crazy over Grimm reproduction."

Lavender chuckled as he crushed his sucker between his teeth and put the money in his jacket pocket.
"All bets are in, let's see what the doc's got it in for us today."

The four walked through the packed hallways as each person brushed shoulders and eager chatter filled the walls.

"Always so crowded, maybe we can fix that." Reyah turned and socked lavender In the arm, "Stay on task, don't ruin anything yet."

The students quickly hurried as the bell began to sound, the last minute about to fall. "Let's see what the professor has got it in for us today boys." A giant red pair of doors stood at the end of the hall, the last of the students from the period before slowly pouring out.

"If you ask what my opinion is on Grimm, it is detrimental that we learn more of our enemy, but I desist. Get to class before you are late."

A student made his way from the main desk and out the door, the teacher grabbing an eraser and begining to erase a cavalcade of mathematical formulas off the board.

"That's game folks!" Lavender said while taking the wad of cash from his pocket and counting it. "

The twins and Reyah moaned in disappointment as he counted each bill and stuck it back into his pocket.

"Mr. Munzell, you're quite early today! What brings you here?"

Lavender made his way down the stairs and towards the front desk.
