M A S O N

It is around 9 pm at night and obviously, I'm just sitting down on the couch, playing video games like what I would do every night. I frowned at myself remembering that I didn't got Christina's phone number. I let out a frustrated sigh and continued to play.

"Mason?" I kept on playing.

"Mason? Are you there?" The person bangs on my door.

"Mason! Open up!" At the last few minutes I didn't know that someone was actually banging on my door considering that I'm wearing my headphones and basically, I can't hear a thing of course. I took my headphones off and paused my game. I head towards the direction of my door, opening it up and accidentally whisper-yelling to the person infront of me, "Wha-"

"Surprise."

I smile widely, realizing that it was Christina.

"What are you doing here?", I asked.

"Thought that I would come by."

"Well, at least my mom let you in, she wouldn't even let any of my friends into our house."

She just smiled at me and I invited her in, taking a step back to give her way. I wouldn't be so surprised that she knows where I live, she's just a few blocks away from me. Realization hits me, she's here. Without even letting me know. Actually, the first time I opened the door, my heart's beat quickened. I'm too nervous. Let me just say, I may be a playboy, but, I have feelings to. People probably only see me as a playboy of our school, probably judging for what and who I am. People doesn't even know I'm a gamer, and I don't usually where my glasses. As much of a manly guy I am, yes, I use contactless, but the same as the color of my eyes. I shook my head, and headed over to Christina who's sitting on the couch, trying to guess what I'm playing, probably.

"Hey, may I ask you something?"

"Yeah, sure. Go ahead," I answered.

"What is this?"

"Wow, I'm surprised you don't even know this game." I laughed at her and she playfully hit my arm, which I whimpered as well, but in a jokingly way of course.

"It's Outlast. It's an horror game, just to inform you. Would you like to play it?" I looked down at her. Her eyebrows are furrowed. Usually, in school, she use make ups a lot but this time, she's wearing no make up at all. Her face was just natural, no lipsticks, blush ons, or anything at all. She still looked gorgeous. I didn't even realized she was looking at me with her what-are-you-staring-at face. And then she spoke up, breaking the silence.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"What?"

"Don't act stupid, James." How does she know my second name? That made me all curious. I just hide the curiousness from me, shooting her a small smirk.

"You haven't answered my question yet," I changed the subject.

"Yes. I'd like to try it."

Being in Mason's house is quite comforting. His house isn't too much of an luxury. It's just an ordinary home. The floor of his room's made of wood, but the walls are made of cement. The color of the wall is Dark Blue, but I like it. He had offered me to play whatever he is playing which I accepted because I wanted to try something more different, like I have only been playing Story Based Games like, The Last of Us, Beyond Two Souls, and, Heavy Rain. I got most of the games from my friend, Philip.

"Now, don't panic too much. This game contains loads of jump scares."

"Jump scares, huh?"

"Yes, now, you can continue it, I'm going to watch your reaction and, probably, listen to your opinion."

I nodded and pressed Resume. He left on the part where this crazy maniac-probably a doctor. He was trying to chase my character and I tried to escape from him which I succeeded.

"I'm surprised you have escaped from that maniac, I have tried it a million times but never succeeded."

I just laughed at him and shook my head.
