"Troye Mellet, I love you so much," Jacob says softly.

"I love you, Jacob," Troye grins, his eyes remaining shut.

Jacob gently places Troye's hands down, "Open your eyes, baby."

Troye opens his eyes, his smile dropping at the sight in front of him: Jacob down on one knee in front of him, a ring box in his hands.

Troye swallows nervously, "Jacob-"

"Shut up, I'm not proposing," Jacob smirks.

Troye lets out a breath he didn't realize he was holding, "What are you doing then?"

Jacob opens his mouth slightly but shuts it again, trying to find the right words to say.

He lets out a breath, "Troye...I-I may not be proposing, but that doesn't mean I never will. I just...I don't know how much of my love you actually feel when I try to show it. And I don't like that feeling," he chuckles.

"I want to make sure that you feel every tiny drop of love that I want you to feel, so I know that you're happy. So I want to put a few promises with this ring."

Troye covers his mouth, tears already starting to form in his eyes.

"Would you like to hear the promises, baby boy?"

Troye lets out a small laugh and nods.

"W-with this ring...I promise that when you cry, I'll wipe your tears and hold you. I promise that when you're scared, I'll be there to hold your hand. I promise to laugh when you laugh, and when you're in pain, I'll take that pain and make it my own," he starts, grabbing Troye's hand gently, his thumbing grazing his knuckles as he continues.

"I promise to protect you with my whole entire being. And I promise you that when I say I love you, I mean that I'll love you forever and that I want to spend eternity with you. Whatever the future has in store for us, I promise we'll face it together no matter what because we can do anything as long as we have each other."

Tears fall down Troye's cheeks.

"Troye Mellet, will you do me the honors of wearing this ring?"

Troye nods vigorously, "Oh my god, Jacob, of course, I'm not stupid."

Jacob laughs and carefully slides the ring onto Troye's finger.

Troye hugs the elder's neck and presses his lips to Jacob's gently.

"I love you so much, Jacob Bixenman."

"I'm loving you right back, Troye Sivan."

"I'm so happy you came into my life."

"Hm...I think you more came into my life. You're the one who moved here."

"Shut up," Troye giggles.

"I'm trying to be sweet."

"You're always sweet. My sweet little boy. My little baby boy."

Troye blushes, "Don't make me little, I wanna celebrate."

"We can't celebrate when you're little?"

Troye blushes more.

"Not the way I want to," he mumbles.

Jacob grins, "Fine by me."

-(oh oop-)

The two lay in bed, Jacob's chest pressed to Troye's back, sweat sticking their naked bodies together.

The elder stamping gentle kisses to the boys neck and shoulder.

"Jacob."

"Yes, my love?"

"Thank you for loving me," Troye whispers, the sentence barely audible to the other boy.

Jacob hugs him closely.

"Thank you for allowing me to," he whispers back.

"What do you think your mom will say when she sees this?"

Troye asks holding up the hand with his promise ring on it.

"Oh, she knows. I've had this planned for a while. She told me I should just propose to you already. But we still have to graduate, so I figured it's too soon for engagement right now."

Troye nods in agreement.

"As much as I can't wait to call you my fiancé, I'd like to wait a bit," he smiles softly.

"See? I know you so well."

Troye giggles, "Yeah, you do."

It's silent for a few moments before Jacob speaks up again.

"Is everything okay?"

Troye smiles into the darkness of the bedroom, his eyes fixed on the silver band around his finger, the metal reflecting the light of the moon shining through the window.

He stays silent for another moment, eyes not leaving the ring for a second, before whispering.

"Everything is perfect."
