If this is confusing I might have skipped a chapter. Im not sure but i realized the chapter before this was a repeat of 31 soooo ya. Im 90% sure I skipped a chap oops! I think it was just smut 🤔 I don't even know. If there is smut coming up then it wasn't. Plus i don't think it was a major chap!

Jacob holds the door open for Troye as they arrive to the restaurant.

Troye grabs his hand hand as soon as he steps in behind him.

"Hi! Just two?"

"I actually have a reservation for Bix."

"Of course. Right this way."

Troye smiles and looks up at Jacob for a moment before following the waitress to a booth in the back of the restaurant.

"Can I get you two anything to drink?"

"I'll have a Pepsi, please."

"Okay, and for you?"

Troye hums, "Mountain Dew, please."

"Okay. I'll have those right out for you."

The waitress leaves and Troye grins at the older teen across form him, "You look so handsome."

"Thank you," Jacob smiles, "You look very beautiful."

Troye blushes with a grin.

"Thank you," he whispers shyly making Jacob chuckle.

"What's the special occasion?"

"Why does there have to be a special occasion? I can't just take my boyfriend out on a date to show him how much I love him?"

Troye gives the elder a look.

Jacob sighs, "Fine. I do have a surprise for you, but you gotta wait till after dinner."

"Ohh yeah my surprise you said I would love despite me hating surprises."

"Yes. That one."

"Fine."

"Here you guys go. Are you ready to order or do we need a minute?"

Quickly looking at the menu, the two end up ordering the same thing.

The waitress takes their menus and walks away once again.

"Jaaaacob," Troye whines tugging on Jacob's sleeve.

"I'm coollldd. Sit down."

"I know, honey, we'll be snuggled up in a minute."

Troye watches as his boyfriend walks around the living room picking up every blanket he can find.

Dropping them down on the couch, he sits down next to Troye and begins to cover both of them.

The older of the two wraps his arm around Troye's shoulders who falls into his side.

Jacob chuckles and kisses the boy's forehead.

"What movie do you wanna watch?"

"Hmm...we should watch The Act."

"What's that?"

"It's a show on Hulu. It's sad. It's based on real events. This mom takes care of her daughter who is very sick and disabled, but she's not actually sick or disabled at all, but the mom keeps giving her medicine that she doesn't need. Since she was five, and I think she's like 18 in the show."

"What the hell? That's horrible. That actually happened?"

"Mhm. It's sad. The daughter ends up meeting someone and I don't remember exactly what happened, but the mom ends up dead and the daughter goes to jail."

"The daughter went to jail?! After she was forced to live like she was sick her whole life by her psycho mom?"

Troye nods, "I've been wanting to watch it."

"I kinda wanna see it too. It's on Hulu?"

Troye nods again.

Jacob turns the TV on and quickly finds the show on Hulu.

After the first episode, Jacob turns to Troye and presses pause as the next episode starts to play.

Troye looks at the elder, "What's wrong?"

"I almost forgot your surprise. Mostly cause I'm really nervous and I've been avoiding it," Jacob chuckles uncomfortably.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, no, everything's fine. I've just been nervous. I'll be right back."

"Okay."

Troye watches as Jacob stands up and walks out of the living room.

He returns a minute later with his hands behind his back.

"Close your eyes."

"Jacob-"

"Please, please, please? I promise you're gonna love it."

Troye sighs but shuts his eyes.

"Okay, hold out your hands. Palms down."

Troye does as he's told.

He smiles when he feels Jacob grab them and press a kiss to the back of one.

"Troye Mellet..."
