I made his birthday November 6th FYI, hope you enjoy the chapter <3 ~.~
(Narrator POV)
"Happy Birthday!" Someone screamed on the other end of the phone when Murphy answered. He couldn't help but smile lightly even though he was just awoken by his phone ringing at who-knows-but-definitely-too-early-o'clock.

Murphy recognized the voices of Anya and Emori when he heard it. "Thank you, but must this really be a tradition? Waking me at dawn just to remind me that I'm a year closer to death?"

"This year is different! You're 18! You're officially an adult who can go apartment hunting and move out! This is your year, Bub!" Anya said with an uncharacteristic cheerfulness.

"First of all, please never call me 'bub' again. Secondly, yes this is all true and I'm very excited. Third, thank you for reminding me of that because now I actually have a will to live again." He joked about the last bit and continued. "Last but not least, are you high or something because you are oddly giddy?"

"She's not high, we're just excited because, we -along with all of your other friends- have planned the best day ever!" Emori explained with a grin that he could hear in her tone.

"Thank you guys. Where does this best day ever begin? Hopefully with at least another hour of sleep." Murphy mumbled as he went to sit up, already knowing that that wasn't the case.

"Nope! It starts with the thing you love most!" Emori said happily. He could tell she was grinning ear-to-ear.

"That's very contradicting, considering you just said that it's not sleep." Murphy joked as he got ready to shower and brush his teeth.

"Don't be stupid, it's Raven." Anya snapped and Murphy could hear Emori swat her arm (lightly but hard enough to make a noise.)

"Don't spoil it!" Emori whined. Murphy laughed a little as he heard the two begin to bicker like an old married couple.

"Goodbye!" Murphy sing-songed as he hung up the phone. He showered, brushed his teeth and otherwise got ready for the day.

He put on his black ripped jeans, black high top converse, and favorite electric blue hoodie. He also put in some black stud earrings and wore his bracelet with the wolf charm to match Raven's.

He sped downstairs after grabbing his phone, wallet and keys. Ignoring his mother, he slammed the door and hopped on his motorcycle and drove to Raven's house. November 6th, a Monday that somehow all the friends got out of school on.

He knocked and Raven answered. She didn't look too tired and she'd been up for a while already, despite it being about 7am on a day where they had no school. Her outfit consisted of a red sweater, olive colored jeans, black boots and her wolf bracelet.

She hugged him tightly. "Happy birthday, Murphy." She smiled and he couldn't help but grin back. They just stared at each other for a moment like lovesick puppies before Sinclair bounded downstairs.

"Happy birthday!" He hollered as he went in the kitchen. Murphy shook his head to refocus and he thanked them both.

"So, I hear my 'perfect day' starts with you." Murphy commented. "What's the plan?" He questioned and Raven tsked at him.

"No way! It's a surprise, I'm not telling you." She grinned, grabbed her wallet, phone and keys and then pulled him out the door and toward her car.

"You look great, by the way." He told her honestly as she pushed him into the passenger seat. She climbed in the driver's seat and put the key in.

"Thank you, so do you." She told him and began the drive. She was so happy to be a part of his birthday, especially because it was all about giving him the life he deserved.
