This was more dialogue heavy then usual and partially unedited. Sorry, I guess...

"I'm so sorry. I should have never left if I knew what was going to happen," Stiles started frantically apologizing as Hayley finished explaining what happened while they were away.

Hayley brought him into a hug and said, "It's fine. I'm fine. You had no idea it was going to happen. If it's any consolation, I shouldn't have thrown the party considering the circumstances. But despite what happened I got to meet this cute guy that was apparently supposed to be my husband."

"What?" Both Derek and Stiles in shock.

"Yeah, the guy Jackson. He told me before shit hit the fan. We're practically royalty and our marriage was supposed to bring unity- I think. I'm not sure. I was to busy trying not to die to remember what he said," Hayley explained as she shrugged her shoulders indifferently.

"And you're not at all shocked about that? Your bio-parents basically pulled some medieval shit on you and the man you were supposed to marry told you about it. I'd think you'd have more of a reaction to it," Stiles said as he spread his arms out in exasperation. Derek nodded his head and pointed at Stiles as if he agreed with what the younger man just said.

"I was at first but the marriage was promised a long time ago. My parents are dead, obviously. They are not here to carry out that promise so it's not like I have to actually marry the guy. And if you haven't noticed, there is a certain Original that I'm having a baby for and another certain Original that has been not so subtly been giving out heart-eyes," Hayley argued and Stiles huffed in annoyance.

"Don't even fuckin remind me. I wished I had just stuck with Elijah as I had originally wanted to. At least he's not as unpredictable as his younger brother," Stiles complained in annoyance as he rubbed his temples.

"Um, excuse me? Elijah is not on the market for you to take. You chose Klaus and that's that."

"I saw him first and you also have an unofficial werewolf waiting to be mated for you!" Stiles argued.

"I sampled Klaus and it wasn't working out. You then got him for yourself and I so graciously took Elijah so you wouldn't have to choose later in the future. Lord knows if I wasn't in the picture you'd have a messy triangle," Hayley then stated as she put her hands on her hips.

"If you weren't here I wouldn't have met either of them. Ergo, your argument is invalid. Ha!"

"You can't Ha me," Hayley protested.

"I just did. Ha, ha."

"Are you guys seriously arguing about Elijah and Klaus when at the moment the former is trying to find the latter?" Derek asked in annoyance as he had his arm crossed while sitting in a loveseat.

"Um, yeah. Elijah basically benched us until further notice," Stiles stated as he went over to Derek and sat on his lap.

"Get off me," Derek snarled as he glared down at his friend.

"No. To be quite honest with you-you're actually comfortable. I think I will start sitting on your lap more often," Stiles comments as he rested his head against Derek's shoulder.

"I will push you off!" Derek threatened and Stiles chuckled as he looked up and saw Derek trying to look threatening. All he noticed where the man's bunny teeth.

"I'll just sit right back on. Don't test me," Stiles challenged and Derek rolled his eyes before he gave up. He knew Stiles all too well and there is a good chance that if he dropped the boy and walked away Stiles would either follow and talk him in another attempt to annoy him or jump on his back. Stiles smiled in triumph as if he seemed to read Derek's thought process but his smile turned into a glare when he heard a click. Both men turned to see Hayley with her phone.
