After the evacuation a nuke was dropped in the center of the town and spread for sixteen miles nothing was left, the crater was fifteen miles deep in the ground nothing seemed to survive. We all left off world and we had gotten some new orders to return to the U.N.S.C base that is orbiting planet X. We also gotten a massage from an unknown communication line Zeal was tracking it down to the satellite when we arrived I noticed that the planets surface was black as if it was scorched by a fire bomb. We arrived on the base and we were greeted with a new member to our team her name in our team was Spartan A she was a strange one during our training to become Spartans. After the augmentation she was sent off to improve on her mental state since she had suffered major brain damage. She walked up to me and looked at me she told us to follow her to the bridge. We arrived and we saw the images of what happened to Planet X's surface it was scorched like how Reach was when it fell.
Spartan A: "This happened twenty-four hours after the evacuation, when you all first found the aliens. We still don't know what might've caused it but by judging the on the amount of land that was destroyed we have a possible suspect. We have a few images of a few Covenant ship leaving the system, it is hard to know if they could are still building an army to restart the war."
Spartan P: "This is hard for us to believe since we don't have much to prove that the Covenant had done that to the planet."
Spartan X: "It wasn't the Covenant look closely at the image it is the Hunters ship leaving the planet so we have two now. We must search for them and know what they are. Oh and Spartan A welcome to our team."
The Spartan team entered a Pelican and went to the planet's surface to investigate what might've truly happened. When they arrived they found a camp site of Covenant troops that has a large amount of weaponry.
