They were against each other, fighting with one another inside William's body.
Neither wished to dissipate, but one had to in the end.
The strongest eradicated the weakest, destroying the other half.
Neither one knew who had won until one started disintegrating, screaming and pleading for help as they faded into nothing.
It was over.
He'd won.
Now, he could leave this body for dead.
It contained a worthless soul and the shell of another, anyway.
But, he couldn't just leave. Not yet.
There was something he had to do.
