"(y/n) ah- you're so careless." jinyoung chastised softly, bending down and shaking his head slightly as he tied your shoelaces back together in a secure knot.
"its not my fault," you pouted, "this is why i don't like wearing shoes that have shoelaces."
"because you can't tie your own shoelaces?" jinyoung teased, as he wrapped his arm around your waist.
"shut it." you glared, your cheeks heating up majorly.
it was embarrassing enough that you lacked the ability to tie your own shoelaces.
and it was even worse when people made fun of you.
"ah- sorry okay? i was just joking, don't take it too seriously." he apologised.
"whatever." you huffed, crossing your arms over your chest furiously.
"but its a good thing you can't tie your shoelaces," he cooed,
"what?"
"because, that way, you must stick with me and never leave me, so that i can help you tie it back when it loosens."

you stared down at your untied shoelaces, tears running freely down your face.
if only you hadn't been that careless,
if only you had resolved everything quickly,
if only you had loved him better;
right at this moment,
he would be kneeling down,
scolding you lightly
as he re-tied your shoelaces for you.
but now,
it was all too late.
with an empty heart,
you bent down,
your fingers fumbling with the shoelaces,
struggling to tie them back together but to no avail.
you sobbed,
knowing that if you could turn back time,
you definitely would without any hesitation.
