Chapter 49: a sex deprived lilirune in the fields of limbo

Never in my life have I expected the queen of monsters to be well behaved, but then again, I also didn't expect her not to be mature. She eventually pulled me to my feet.
"Am I dead?" I asked.
"No, at least you won't be if we succeed." The demon queen said.
"The name's Regina, you must be Y/N, welcome to limbo, purgatory, or whatever the hell you want to call it." The echidna said.
I didn't respond and just allowed Regina to drag me along. She began to talk about how this realm would be able to send souls back with enough spirit energy. She was getting specific and I would've paid more attention but a scent was starting to distract me and I stopped moving. Regina looked back and gave a grin and I heard her voice say something along the lines of: "Have fun." A voice replied with a simple "fuck." However I had no idea if I said that or simply thought about it. The scent was intoxicating, it was driving me mad, and I was vaguely aware of a vine wrapping around my ankles.
I was dragged for what felt like an eternity before I was dangled in the air. I saw two beautiful women below me with green tinted skin and plants that acted as a kind of clothing.

Ruth's POV

I had stayed behind to work on the castle, mostly repairing and cleaning the rooms and making sure that some of the sharper pieces of rubble. Just a few short minutes ago something felt wrong, very wrong. I suddenly stopped functioning and barely made it to my bed before collapsing as tears began to fall. 'What is happening? Why can't I stop crying?' I heard the door open and an unexplainable dark part of my mind hoped that it was the order, hoped that I was about to die. I heard as someone called my name and I slowly crawled out of my bed. I walked to the entrance to find Sarah nervously looking around the room as she often used my cleaning technique to create an idea as to where I could possibly be since I clean in steps.
"Hi, where is everyone?" I asked.
Sarah looked towards me and wiped tears from her eyes. It was then that I saw the body she had in her arms. I choked back a sob as I approached the body.
"Are the catacombs accessible? There's a room down there and if I can reach it I might be able to bring him back." Sarah said.
I looked up and nodded. Sarah asked if I wanted to go with her but the very sight of Y/N's body made me nauseous. I kissed his forehead slowly before rushing back to my room, locking the door, collapsing, and crying.
