TW: HOMOPOBIC SLURS AND PANIC ATTACKS

I glanced up at Sam and he nodded. Dean gave a small sigh of relief.

"Good. I didn't want to do the whole 'Our dad is homophobic so if you could please refrain from doing anything remotely gay that would be highly appreciated.' crap."

Dean glanced in the room window and then back at us.

"You know I don't know how we have been able to hide the fact that you're gay and I'm bi for so long."

My eyes widened a little bit at this comment.

"Wait so you're not straight either?"

Dean chuckled a little bit and he nodded his head and Sam simply smiled. Dean glanced back in the window and jumped a little bit.

"Dads starting to wake up. We should probably head inside now."

And just like that he opened the door and the three of us piled into the room. John started to sit up a little bit and he smiled at the three of us. He called Sam over and have him a hug and said how much he missed him. He then averted his gaze onto me. His face hardened and his stare turned stone cold.

"Ah. You must be Gabriel."

He stuck his arm out for me to shake his hand. Once I did, he didn't looked too pleased with it. I heard him mumble a "that's a fag handshake" under his breath. No one else seemed to notice and I tensed up a little. Curse my above average hearing.

I glanced up at Sam and saw panic flash across his face. My heart rate started to pick up. Something is clearly wrong. He quickly whispered something into Dean's ear and the same look flashed across his face as well. They both started fidgeting, like if they were wanting to say something but they didn't. I looked back at John and shivered a little because he didn't look away from me.

"Well aren't you going to say anything?"

Oh no. Oh no no no no no. This is one of my worst fears in a social situation. My breathing got heavier and my heart rate sped up. I glanced back at Sam and Dean and they were flinching as if preparing themselves to get hit.

"It's rude to not say anything! Speak boy!"

I started backing up to the wall but ended backing up into Dean. He caught me and put a calminggrip on my shoulders. He gave me a reassuring smile. It's the same smile that Sam has, but it's just not the same. They're definitely brothers. He started whispering to me.

"Easy there tiger. It's going to be okay. Well handle this." I looked over at Sam and he was giving me such a scared look, it was the same look when I almost got hit buy the truck. Suddenly Sam looked back at John with the most furious face I've ever seen. I made a mental note not to get on Sam's bad side. He then exploded.

"He's mute okay?! As in, he can't fucking talk! So instead at yelling at every single thing that's an inconvenience to you, how about you show a little bit of kindness and understanding for once in your goddamn life?!"

John's face turned beet red and he looked like a champagne bottle and the cork was about to pop out. I could feel Dean's grip on my shoulders get a little tighter as he could probably feel my trembling.

"How dare you speak to me like that! I am your father and you will show me some respect!"

My brain started tuning out what was being said and I could only hear muffled shouts coming from both sides. After a minute or so, I don't really know how much time has passed, Dean let go of my shoulders and stood between them so they couldn't hurt each other.
