Dennise immediately hug LA tightly.
LA's angry. He's all red from anger and his nose is flaring.
He was about to throw a punch in the air but Den quickly reach for his arm.
"Shh.." as she put a hand on her boyfriend's cheek. "It's all going to be fine. We are going to be fine. Just calm down now, okay?"
LA sniffed and you can actually see tears brimming in his eyes. "I don't know what to do anymore... I-I don't know if we're going to live or if we're going to end up like them..."
Den encased his face between both her hands.
"Babe, I–I don't know!" He whimpered. "I don't know what to do! What if I lose you? Or what if I'm next? Or Ella? Babe–I don't know if I can take it... Or what if we can all survive this? What am I gonna say to Tito Eric?"
Den, with tears in her eyes kissed his forehead. "I'd like to think that we can. We will survive this, baby? Okay? And when we do? We will all explain it to them with the best of our abilities."
She leaned and kissed him on the lips and he melted into it.
"I will always be by your side. Always." Den promised as she give a wet smile to her boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Alister just wanted to get the fuck out of there. He inhaled sharply and looked away after the kiss.
Then turned to his friends only to see them looking at him except for Jia with pity.
He shake them off and pulled Jia into a hug. The kid weep on his stomach and all Ali can do is to caress the kid's back.
He felt useless.
And he hated that feeling. He has to have a solution. There has to be a solution.
Vic and Kim took the liberty to wrap Anna's body in a curtain and put her in one of the bedroom's bathroom.
Pagbalik nila, everyone seemed to be settled to Kim suggested. "Well, tuloy natin?"
"Jia? Kwento ka naman sa school nyo oh." He urged.
Jia timidly nodded and told them anecdotes of her school experience.
"Hmm..." Alister followed. "Komusta naman ang Nana Pinang at Tata Nestor, Ji?"
"Okay naman po." Jia shortly said.
"Hindi ka naman ba makulit?"
Jia shook her head and Ali smiled as he put a hand on her head and pat it.
"Mabait ako Kuya. Promise!"
Bang nodded and tuck a hand behind Jia's ear. "Oo nga naman, Ali. Mabait itong si Jia. Tumutulong yan sa Inay at Itay nya. Tsaka matalino at masipag mag-aral."
Alister smiled at the kid and looked at her like she's his world.
"Tama lang ang pagkupkop mo sa kanya, Ali." Bang said in soft voice. "Masaya na si Jia ngayon. Pati na rin sina Nana Pinang at Tata Nestor."
Dennise perked up at what Bang revealed. "Teka..."
All of the Batangas natives looked at her.
"Ikaw?"
Alister looked confused. "Ah... Ano ho yon, Miss?"
"Ikaw yung nagdala sa kanya sa hacienda?"
Alister kept his face steady. "Why yes... I do know how to do good deeds, despite what others think Miss Lazaro."
