"emma," melissa tried the grab the baby's attention. "you don't wanna say mama? ma ma ma."
emma only smiled at her mother, reaching to touch her face. "ahh da baba." she squealed.
"you are such a cutie." now it was melissa's turn to smile. she looked up when she heard the door open and close.
"how are my girls?" you walked into your shared bedroom with mel. you kissed the both of them. "i'm just trying to get emma to say mama, and she's getting really close, huh princess?"
the little one gurgled and smiled up at you sweetly. "mama. ma ma ma." mel whispered softly.
"ma ma ma ma mama." emma started babbling out of nowhere. you and melissa both gasped and squealed internally. you pulled out your phone and started recording.
"say it again sweet girl. mama ma." you encouraged.
"mama mama ma." you couldn't believe it. you kissed emma's head several times and showered kisses all over melissa's face as well.
"i love you so much." you whispered to your beloved wife.
