Meetings
Drew
"Drew, I'm not saying it's her. I'm just saying that I've heard this somewhere."
"Dude, it's her. I'm telling you."
"How are you so sure?" I said, raising my eyebrows. "How are you so sure?"
He pulled out his phone and pulled up a video of a drunk Eve. "Just listen. She says it."
I took the phone from his hand and watched the thirty-seven second video twice. "A safe word?"
He nodded. "She said it was like a password. If you knew it, you were safe."
I chuckled. That sounded like something Eve would've done. "So, assuming this is Eve, where do we go from here?"
"Let's have a meeting with Ms. King."
Happiness flooded me at the thought of finding her. The thought of being able to give her a hug. The thought of another game of basketball.
I walked into Kay's room, slowly opening the door so I didn't wake her up.
"Goodnight, E." I heard her say.
I smiled. I was in love with an amazing girl, and I was about to get my sister back. What could go wrong?
