Hanging with the losers

Hi again! I'll try to make this chapter longer than the other two but if not sorry. Oh and also this story takes place while they're 15/16.

Bills POV (Sorry I know this is Reddie but yeah it's gonna be Bills POV for part of this chapter)

I widen my eyes when Richie tells me his crush. I'm shocked. I mean, he has a girlfriend. Why would he have a girlfriend if he liked Eddie?
"W-What about E-Emmie?" I ask Richie
"Ugh, I don't know." Richie says burying his face in his hands.
"W-well why did y-you even start dating h-her?" I ask Richie
"Because I didn't want people to think I'm gay, you idiot!" Richie screams
"O-Okay. S-Sorry Rich." I say, taken aback by the fact that he screamed
"Sorry Bill, I've gotta go bye." Richie says, obviously leaving because he's embarrassed he likes Eddie.
"A-alreddie?" Bill asks
"Yeah. I uhhh, forgot I had to do... uhhh... something" Richie says, clumsily standing up
"O-okay... Well s-see you s-soon Richie." I say as he rushes out of my room
"W-well," I whisper to myself, "What the f-fuck just h-happened?"

Eddies POV
I'm just sitting on my bed, reading, because I have literally nothing else to do, when my phone buzzes. I pick up my phone and see I have a text from Beverly on the Losers Club group chat.

Beverly: Can you guys meet me at the quarry today?

Ben: Yeah sure

Bill: I'll come

Stan: I'll be there

Richie: I'm on my way

Mike: I can't come, sorry

Beverly: Awww okay

Beverly: Eddie can you come

Eddie: I'll ask my mom

I leave my room and go downstairs to my mom, who's asleep on the couch.
"Mommy," I say, tapping her awake, "Mommy, wake up."
"What is it Eddie?" My mom asks while yawning
"I was wondering if I could go to the quarry with my friends today?" I ask her
"I guess that's okay, only if you promise to be careful."
"Okay, I promise I will. Thanks Mommy" I say
I go upstairs to my room, put on a swimsuit, and put my clothes on over it. I walk out the door, hop on my bike, and head to the quarry. On my way, I run into Richie, who is, strangely enough, on his bike, even though he can drive a car.
"Why're you on your bike?" I ask him
"Well I was going to your house to make sure you were coming." Richie says
"Oh." I say
"Well lets go. They'll be wondering where we are." Richie says
The ride there was mostly uneventful, I was too busy admiring how cute Richie is to make conversation. We get to the quarry, and all of the losers, except Mike, are there.
"Hey guys!" Beverly says
"Hey Bev." I say
I take my clothes off, revealing my bathing suit.
"Let's go!!!" Bev says and jumps off the cliff
Bill and Stan follow her, and jump off the cliff.
"You gonna go Ed's?" Richie asks me
"Yes. And don't call me Ed's." I say annoyed
"Awww, you're so cute when your annoyed." Richie says to me. He turns beet red as he realizes what he said. I look at him confused.
And that's when Emmies car shows up at the quarry.
"Hey guys," Emmie says, way to cheerfully, "Richie, I thought I would find you here. You know, since you're always hanging out with these losers."
The way Emmie says losers throws me off. Of course, we're called the Losers Club. But, it sounded like Emmie said it to make fun of, or offend us.
"Hey Emmie," Richie says, obviously confused about why she's here, "Of course I hang out with them, they're my friends."
I feel sad when he says friends. I wish I could be his boyfriend... Oh well, I guess it's better than not knowing him at all.
"Yeah, Yeah. But wouldn't you rather spend time with me?" Emmie asks, in a rather annoying voice
"I-I guess..." Richie says
"Well then, c'mon." Emmie says, grabbing Richies arm and taking him to her car
"But my bike..." Richie says pointing to his bike left in the grass
"We can put it in the back of my car." Emmie says
"Okay." Richie says, puts his clothes back on over his bathing suit, grabs his bike,  and puts it in the back of Emmies car.
"Do you want me to drive." Richie asks her
"Sure." She says
"Okay, lets go." Richie says as he gets into the drivers seat of Emmies car. They drive away. "Eddie! Richie! Are you coming!?" Stan yells from the water
All I can do in return is put my clothes on over my bathing suit, get on my bike, and start to bike home, the tears falling from my eyes.

Richies POV
I start to drive away from the quarry, and Eddie, heartbroken. If only I actually had the guts to tell Eddie how I feel and break up with Emmie so I don't have to deal with her. I mean, she's nice. But I don't like like her. I couldn't like anyone as much as my sweet Eddie Spaghetti.
"So, what do ya wanna do?" Emmie asks
"I don't know, you?" I ask her
"Uhhh, why don't we go get some ice cream?" She says
"Okay." I say in return
I drive us to the ice cream shop. We get out of the car, and get in the already existing line of about two people.
"What are ya gonna get?" She asks me
"Just a small vanilla, you?"
"I'll get rocky road."
"Okay," I say as she orders our ice cream
I pay for the ice cream, and we sit down on a bench outside.
"So, why are you always hanging out with those losers?" Emmie asks me
"Well, because they're my friends." I say
"Yeah, but why?" She asks
I shrug
"Why do you care?" I ask her
"Well, because you're my boyfriend, and I don't want you hanging out with a bunch of losers." She says
"Oh," I say, "Do you think Eddies a loser?" I ask her
She giggles, "Of course." She says
"I know he may seem that way, but once you get to know him, he is definitely not a loser." I say, feeling like I need to defend Eddie
"Okay, sure." Emmie says
We sit there and talk for who knows how long, when she says she has to go.
"Okay," I say, " See ya soon." I say, getting my bike out
"See ya Richie." She says as she leaves the parking lot
I think about how I totally ditched my friends, and Eddie today. I feel like I need to send him a text to apologize.

Richie: Eds im so sorry

Eddie: Yeah it's fine. Whatever
