14. Nightmare Felt Real

TRISHA P.O.V

"Stop!!! Don't run."

She giggled and continued running.

I chased her and held her hand.

"I got you, princess," I said with my brightest smile and picked her up.

The sound of sea waves strikes my ears.

I walked down to the rocks and I can see the seashore. A sweet breeze touched my hair.

"Mommy." she pulled my dress that was clung to my body.

I looked downwards.

"Yes, Princess?"

"Where is Daddy?"

A wave of pain splashed over me.

I sat on my knees to match her level.
I took her hand and placed it on her heart.

"Here. Your daddy lives here." I replied

"Trisha!" She exclaimed and started running towards the sea.

I chased her.

"Baby stop, please. My child, my princess. Don't go. Mommy will die without you." I yelled while sobbing.

"TRISHA!!" she screamed my name again.

My eyes flew open.

It was a nightmare.
Strange.
This is one of those nightmares where everything feels real.
It was weird.

I was getting both positive and negative vibes in my dream or maybe a nightmare.

I felt tears rolling down from my cheeks but my vision was still blurred.

I heard a voice. Voice of a lady.

"She was pregnant?" she asked someone.

"I don't know Madame. Is she okay?"

"She is fine. You may go. I want to talk to the patient alone."

My vision was clear and I can see a lady with black dyed hair. I think she was in her 50s.

She ran her fingers through my hair. Surprisingly, it relaxed me.

"How are you feeling, my child?" She asked. She sounded genuine.

"W-who a-r-are you?" I knew from her attire that she is a doctor but I wanted to know more about her.

"I am a family doctor of Mr. Knight," she replied.

"Can you help me, please? I want to-"
She interrupted me and her reply shocked me.

"I know what you are going through Trisha, but I am helpless. You don't know what he is capable of. Besides, I have a family. He will kill everyone if he will know that I helped you."

I smiled weakly.
So, she already knows what I am going through.

"It's okay. I know the value of family. After all, it's about our loved ones."

I understand.

"I was wondering what made Daniel Knight so obsessed about you and now I can see."

She is talking as if it's the best thing in the world.

I wanted to sit so I moved my body. But the moment I shifted my body, I felt a sharp pain. I wailed in pain.
