Sliding down a slide

Is like falling in love

You stand at the top petrified

The height looks scary

When you sit down

Bursts of excitement wash over

The ride itself is amazing

Laughter and squeals

When you open your eyes the bottom is near

You try to brace yourself

But before you can stop

You're on the ground

Elbow skinned

Head throbbing from hitting the slide

Butt aching from hitting the ground

But after a few tears and bandaids

You find yourself climbing the stairs

Only to do the same thing

Over again
