I was in the hospital on my shift. I was just sitting at my desk when a the doors burst open and a man being wheeled to the emergency ward. I'm guessing his wife was running behind him. I shot up from my desk and ran over to him.
"What happened." I asked walking next to the man.
"He is in critical condition, he had a stroke. 53 year old Beom-seok Kim." The paramedic told me.
I nodded and took him from them. They told the woman behind to stay back. I took the male to the theatre room. There were five other nurses and doctors with me but he was my patient, they were on hand if anything went wrong to support me, but his life was basically in my hands.
