"Start whenever you want. Or don't. Whatever you want. I'll still be there for you." Caleb told me

I bit my lip and looked down at the blades of grass.

"well it started around a year ago." I started

"Sorry Aaron but I can't hear you" He told me

"S-Sorry. It started about a year ago. I fell in love with this boy... His name is Ray. A few days after we met he asked if we wanted to get together. I was blinded by love and careless so I agreed. I loved him so, so much and it was so good at first. He cared about me.... or at least he acted like he cared. Umm... Once he found out that I was blind he used that against me. Ray used to steal my glasses... The ones you dad gave me that allowed me to actually see.... and he threatened to break them if I didn't do what he said." I began.

Caleb sat in silence while I was talking but I refused to meet his eyes. I felt his hand on my shoulder and I leaned against his chest.

"I think the time that I actually realized he wasn't a good person was when he had started to hurt me. A couple of weeks after we started dating he started beating me and I never told anyone because I was too scared of him to actually tell anyone so it was like that for a couple of months. I think I finally snapped when he raped me. Up until that point I managed to stay strong.  I never cried in front of him, even when he was beating me unconscious but that day I just.... broke.... he broke me. I didn't want to let it happen but it did. I actually broke down and started sobbing. That's when I finally told my dad about what was happening." I told him

"Did he go hulk?" He asked

"Yeah.... He threatened to kill him but I told him that it wouldn't help." I responded

"Ray.... Ray, why does that sound so familiar? What was his last name?" Caleb asked

"I-I think his last name was.... Knight. Ray Knight. Why do you ask?" I responded

    He laughed slightly

"What's so funny?" I asked confused.

"I met him last year when I went to Camp Jupiter. He's a demigod. I believe he's a child of Kihone." He told me

"And that a good thing why...?"

    "He's at a Roman camp."

    "Meaning?"

"Meaning he could be killed for what he did to you." Caleb told me like it was obvious

    "I-I don't w-want him to die!" I exclaimed

"I'm not saying that it's the best option. I'm just pointing out that you have options." He told me

"I-" I was cut off by a twig snapping.

"We should probably go. Do you have a weapon?" He asked me

"I have a doll with a sewing needle if that counts." I mumbled

He laughed a bit at my response

"That's not quite what I meant. Although I am a bit curious now." Caleb told me

I smiled a bit and waved my hand. Sadida sprouted from the ground and poked Caleb in the leg.

"Aw this thing is adorable! Wait. Did you make this thing?" He asked me

"Yeah... It stabbed Ray in the leg with a sewing needle." I told him

"Well let's get you an actual weapon shall we?" He asked standing up

I took his hand and he pulled me up.

"You know I can't really fight right?" I asked

"That's why your going to be trained to. I actually have something here for you." He told me reaching into his pocket.

He pulled out a small dagger and handed it to me

"Are you sure you trust my clumsy self with this?" I asked as he placed it in my hand

"Shorter blades are more useful in battles. They can reach weak spots in armor that most weapons can't reach and they're much easier to hide and conceal. They are used most skillfully by intelligent people and trust me when I say you fall under that category." he told me

    "Are you sure?" I asked

"Listen if Serena trip-over-thin-air Stark can wield a dagger without killing herself by accident then so can you." he joked

He threw an arm over my shoulders and we walked towards the other cabins.

"Yeah I guess your right." I told him

"I always am." He said with a smirk

"You sound exactly like your sister." I told him

"We grew up in the same household what did you expect?" He asked

"Hey speaking of that... How did the talk with your dad go?" I asked quietly

"It went pretty well..." he told me

"No it didn't. You were shaking when I came over." I whispered.

"You don't have to whisper you know." Caleb told me in a soft voice, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"sorry. Force of habit." I told him.

He glanced up at the sky to see the sun beginning to set.

"We should probably get back. The games going to start soon." He told me

    "Ok." I told him.

We both walked towards wherever we were supposed to meet the rest of the camp
