I was lying on my bed reading The Art of War when my phone beeped. I unlocked it reading the message from Emily.

Hey, are you still staying over tonight? I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face. My thumbs moved across the screen effortlessly while texting her back.

Yes. I can't wait to see you. I miss you so much. A couple of seconds passed before I got a response back from her.

I miss you too babe. I would say that we just saw each other but I know what you would say. I laughed a little before responding.

I would say "So". I don't like to be away from you for a long time anyways. I don't know why tho. 🤔

"Knock knock, your big brother is at the door." I heard Jason yell from the other side of my bedroom door.

"Open the door lil sis. This is some important shit." I closed my eyes and sighed before getting up from my bed and opening the door. I jumped back onto my bed and picked up the book I was reading.

"Well...?" I said as I saw Jason just staring there.

"Just weird seeing you doing something other than Emily." I glared at him for a few seconds.

"Was that supposed to be a joke or did you really see us before?"

"No, I've never seen y'all but thanks for admitting that you two fucked in the house."

"You have too."

"Touche." He said while making a face.

"So what did you want J?"

"I come bearing bad news lil sis."

"Awe, did one of your many girlfriends get pregnant or something?" He threw his head back and let out a sarcastic laugh.
