DEANNA'S POV
I couldn't believe my ears.
No freakin' way!
But it was true.
When I looked at her, she had her eyes slightly open.
She gave me a weak smile at first but then kumunot yung noo nya.
"Your...head...wh-what-" her voice was still so weak.
"Ssshhhhhhh tatawag ako ng doctor"
Is this girl for real?
Sya na nga tong kritikal ang kondisyon pero mas nag-alala pa sya sa bandage sa ulo ko.
Hayyy Jema. Napakamaalaga parin talaga. Na miss ko to. Sobra.
"Tito,Tita! Gising na si Jema!"
Napalingon naman silang lahat.
Agad na lumapit sila Tito at Tita.
Lumabas naman si Ate Nicole para tawagin ang doctor.
"Ma...Pa..." mahinang sabi ni Jema.
"Yes nak, dito lang si Mama at Papa" sagot ni Tita na kinuha ang kamay ni Jema.
Napaiyak na naman kami.
The doctor came and checked Jema.
"You're heart stopped two times did you know that? You have beaten so many odds. I've never seen anyone wake up this fast from that trauma. You are truly a miracle Miss Galanza. I'll be personally supervising your recovery and I'll refer you to a good physical rehab facility. Don't worry, we'll have you back on the court in no time" sabi ng doctor.
"Salamat doc" sagot ni Jema.
Her eyes were still droopy. Halatang mahina pa sya but she moved her head to take in her surroundings.
Then finally she laid eyes on my family.
Lumapit naman sila sa kanya.
"Hello Jema, ako pala si Tita Judin mo. Mommy ni Deanna. It's so nice to finally meet you and thank you personally for saving my daughter's life" naiiyak na sabi ni Mom.
"Ako si Tito Dean. Daddy ni Deanna. Thank you so much for what you did Jema. We're glad to have you back" sabi naman ni Dad.
Jema tried to lift her hands para magmano but di pa nya kaya.
Sina Mom and Dad na ang naglapit ng kamay nila sa noo nya.
Napangiti naman si Jema.
"Hello! I'm Ate Cy and this is your Ate Nicole. Deanna's sisters. We really don't have words to thank you enough Jema"
"Nice...to fi-finally meet you...all po" mahinang tugon ni Jema.
I can't believe this is really happening.
My Jema is awake. And another big step in our relationship; nakilala na nya ang family ko.
Sayang wala yung dalawa ko pang kapatid but she'll meet them soon enough.
Thank you Lord! Thank you talaga!
