Chapter 8: Welcome To The Army

  The group finally arrive at the training grounds.  "Okay, this is it!" Naruto said as he hid in Sakura's uniform "Time to show them your man-walk. Shoulders back, chest high, feet apart, head up, and strut!" Sakura began to walk like a man but was noticed by a few men "Two three, break that bone, two, three, and work it!" Naruto instructed as they pass men trimming their toenails and picking their noses "Beautiful, isn't it" Naruto smiled "they're disgusting." Sakura said in disgust "No, they're men. And you're gonna have to act just like them, so pay attention." Naruto instructed "Look! This tattoo will protect me from harm!" a recruit smiled "Hmmm" another recruit  with red triangles on his cheeks thought, but then punches the recruit in the gut "I hope you can get your money back!" another recruit with bushy eyebrows snorted "right Choji?" He elbowed the chubby man next to him "yes Lee ha ha" Choji giggled

   "I don't think I can do this ..." Sakura panicked "It's all attitude! Be tough, like this guy here!" Naruto pointed at the recruit as he spits "What are you looking at?" he looked at her "Punch him. It's how men say hello." Naruto suggested. Sakura punches him as he slammed into a tall chubbier recruit. "Oh, Kiba! You've made a friend!" the chubby one said "Good. Now slap him on the behind. They like that." Naruto smiled, Sakura slaps Kiba "Woo hoo ... I'm gonna hit you so hard, it'll make your ancestors dizzy." Kiba snarled as Choji picks up Kiba, "Kiba relax and chant with me" the man said "errrrrgh ...." Kiba growled "nanuami tofu dah ..." Choji chanted "nonuamitofudah." Kiba repeated "Feel better?" Choji asked as he put Kiba down "nrrgh. Ah, you ain't worth my time. Chicken boy." Kiba scoffed as he turned around "Chicken boy!? Say that to my face, you limp noodle!" Naruto shouted

"Rrraaaaghhh!" Kiba snapped and grab Sakura and punches, but she ducks and he punches Lee three times. "Oh, sorry Lee. Hey!" he smiled as he tried to reach down to catch Sakura from crawling away, and Lee kicks him into Choji. He then attacks with a flying side kick. They start fighting, with Choji swiping to get them off. Sakura scrambles away.

"Hey! There he goes!" Lee shouted as they chase Sakura through a tent, and the Gang of Three stop abruptly at the end of the food line. Choji knocks everyone over, like dominoes, and finally the pot overturns. Everyone gets up and advances on Sakura. "Hey, guys ..." Sakura greeted as she began to back up slowly.

While Sakura was in a pickle, the lead Shinobi general Itachi Uchia was talking basics with his younger brother inside the Captain's Tent. "The Akatsiki have struck here, here, and here. I will take the main troops up to the Tung Chow Pass and stop Madara before he destroys this village." He explained

"Excellent strategy, sir! I do love surprises" Might Guy smiles "Sasuke, you will stay and train the new recruits. When Might Guy believes you're ready, you will join us ... Captain." He smiled as he gives his sword to him. "Captain?" Sasuke questioned "Oh! This is an enormous responsibility, General! Perhaps a soldier with more experience?" Guy asked "Number one in his class, extensive knowledge of training techniques ... an impressive military linuage ... I believe Sasuke Uchia will do an excellent job." Itachi smiled
"Oh I will! I won't let you down! This is... I mean... Yes sir." Sasuke regained his composure. "Very good, then. We'll toast The land of Fire's victory at the Royal City. I'll expect a full report in three weeks." Itachi explained as he exited the tent to saddle his horse. "And believe me, I won't leave anything out." Guy snickered at Sasuke "Captain Sasuke Uchia. Leader of Shinobi's  finest troops. No, the greatest troops of all time." Sasuke smiled then followed his brother outside. They step outside and see the huge fight between the soldiers "Most impressive" Might Guy rolled his eyes "Good luck, Captain! Yah!" Itachi told his brother as he rides off, followed by two lines of soldiers on horses.
"Good luck ... Brother." Sasuke sighed "Day one" Guy wrote down on his notebook "
"Soldiers!" Sasuke shouted. The soldiers separate, revealing a cowering Sakura "HE started it!" They all said in unison pointing at her. Sakura looked up and saw Sasuke giving her a stern look "I don't need anyone causing trouble in my camp." Sasuke said
Sakura got up from the ground and dusted herself off "Sorry ... (in a deep voice) I mean, sorry you had to say that. But you know what it is when you get those manly urges ... just gotta KILL something. Fix things ... a cook outdoors ..." Sakura explained in her man voice

"What's your name?" Sasuke asked "uh...um...uh..." she stuttered "Your commanding officer just asked you a question!" Guy snarked "I've got a name ... and it's a boy's name, too." Sakura said "Lee! How 'bout Lee?" Naruto whispered "HIS name is Lee" Sakura whispered to Naruto "I didn't ask for HIS name, I asked for yours!" Sasuke ordered "Uh ... Ah-chu!" Naruto thought "Ah-chu!" Sakura answered Sasuke "AH-CHU?!" He rose an eyebrow "Gesuintit! Hee hee ... I kill myself." Naruto laughed "Naruto ..." Sakura whispered "Naruto?" Sasuke asked "No" she shook her head "THEN WHAT IS IT?!" Sasuke yelled "Satoshi! Satoshi was my best friend growing up." Naruto whispered.

"It's Satoshi" Sakura answered "Satoshi" Sasuke replied "Course, Ping did steal my girl--" Naruto bickered but was cut off by Sakura's hand "Yes. My name is Satoshi." Sakura replies "Let me see your conscription notice." Sasuke asked as she hands the scroll to him. "Kizashi Haruno, THE Kizashi Haruno?" Sasuke asked "I didn't know Kizashi Haruno had a son" Guy added  "Er, he ... doesn't talk about me much." Sakura chuckled she attempts to spit, but fails miserably.  "I can see why. The boy's an absolute lunatic!" Guy whispers to Sasuke. "Okay, gentlemen, thanks to your new friend Satoshi, you'll spend tonight picking up every single grain of rice. Tomorrow, the real work begins." Sasuke ordered as the other recruits grumble. "You know, we have to work on your people skills."  Naruto whispered to Sakura.
