"When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive-to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love." ~ Marcus Aurelius

The sound of my alarm blaring loudly wakes me up. I absolutely hate mornings. They're the worst things ever, the bane of my existence, the saddest part of my day, the-

Well I think you get the point. Long story short, waking up early is just something I will never get used to.

Crawling out of my bed, I stumble outside into the hallway and groan all the way to the bathroom.

Just when I'm about to enter, I'm violently shoved aside. Obviously I'm not even fully awake yet so I easily crash into the ground with a big 'oomph'.

"MARCEL!!" I scream with irritation.

"First come, first served sister." He states smugly.

"You weren't even there first you idiot! You literally pushed me out the way! I could have gotten concussion!"

"Um okay then Kez, no need to be so dramatic about it geez."

As I get ready to force Marcel out the of the way, I feel something against my legs.

Looking down, I see Nolan, my 6-year-old brother crawling underneath both of our legs and into the bathroom.

Before I have time to react, he's made his way in and locked the door.

Both me and Marcel look at one another before simultaneously banging on the door.

"NOLAN!" We both scream.

"GET YOUR BUTT OUT HERE! I ALWAYS GO FIRST!"  I exclaim with frustration.

"Yeah? Well if you and Marcel weren't arguing all the time, you would have already showered by now!" Shouts Nolan in his high little voice.

"Nolan, if you don't get out here right now l- "

"KIDS! DON'T MAKE ME COME UP THERE AND WHOOP ALL OF YOU!" Yells my mother. Geez, she's always shouting. My poor eardrums need a break.

"Yeah! What she says!" Shouts my dad with clear humour.

Really dad? That's all you can say. And I'm the family loser? Yeah right.

"What's going on?" Omari tiredly says while walking towards us.

"Nolan's locked himself in the bathroom." Marcel states while rolling his eyes.

"Nolan? It's me Omari open up please."

Being the brat that Nolan is, he opens the door only because Omari asked him too. You'd think that I'd be his favourite sibling, right?

Just as Nolan opens the door, I pull him outside and shove him towards my other idiotic brothers before slamming the door on their faces.

"HA. You snooze you lose boys." I say smugly.

Taking a quick shower because of all the time already wasted, I make my way back out of the bathroom and down the hallway into my room.

I stand in front of my wardrobe and debate what I should wear on my first day back to school as a sixth former in year 12. Being a sixth former means I no longer have to wear the pitiful uniform forced upon us.

Eventually, I decide on a pair of loose red, white and black stripy trousers and pair it with a black shirt and my usual converse.

I decide to leave my freshly done red and black braids down and grab my rucksack filled with books, my phone, keys and purse and begin to make my way down the stairs.

As I leave my room, Nolan stops me and asks to help with his hair.

"Oh so now you want me to be nice to you after the stunt you pulled earlier?"

"Please Keziah! I'm really sorry about before, just help me otherwise mums gonna shout at me again for not being ready on time." He gives me his usual
wide eyed stare which I just cannot resist.

I sigh in annoyance and grab the comb before fixing his hair.

Walking down the stairs at my own steady pace, Omari rushes past me almost knocking me over.

"Watch where you're going Omari! I could have died falling down these stairs!" I shout angrily.

I stomp down into the kitchen mumbling about my stupid brothers.

"Nice of you to finally join us Keziah." My dad says.

"Blame Nolan, he wanted me to do his hair at the wrong time like always. He never learns."

"Hey! I do learn things that's why I go to school Kez!" Nolan says.

"Yeah well it's obviously not working dumbass."

"Mummy! Keziah's being mean again." He whines.

"Keziah be nice to your brothers; I really don't want to keep telling you this."

Nolan smirks at me and I groan out loud. He's lucky mums here right now that's all I have to say.

I start eating my cereal and check the time before realising it's almost 7:30. School starts at 8.

"Keziah hurry up would you we need to leave like now!" Marcel shouts.

I shove the rest of my food in my mouth before running out the kitchen towards the door.

"Bye mum! Bye dad!" I shout while leaving the house.

I jump in the car with Marcel before he zooms off while Nolan and Omari take the bus.

"So," my brother begins.  "What happened to that kid you sat with on the plane."

"First of all, he's not a kid he's 17 and secondly, we obviously parted ways so I have no idea what happened. Now forget about it."

"Someone has a lot of attitude this morning geez."

I ignore his comment and he drives the rest of the way in silence.

A/N:
I can't even express how annoying sibling are. This is just a small demonstration of how they act and it's honestly a struggle living with them.
Do you guys have the same problem?
