"To be brave is to love someone unconditionally, without expecting anything in return." ~ Madonna

When we arrive home, everyone helps carry in my bags of clothes which turned out to be more than I thought.

As I'm walking in, I take my phone out to text Abel when I hear some shuffling.

I look up from my phone when-

"SURPRISE!"

I drop my phone and the bags in my hand from shock and gasp.

Various choruses of happy birthday are thrown my way from the several people in my house.

There's all my friends, Rolos family, some family friends and Abel's family.

"You guys didn't have to do this you know." I say as I walk further into the room.

Rani rolls her eyes, "Yeah we know but Abel wasn't having any of that. He was all like 'her birthday has to be special blah blah.'"

I look towards Abel who's scratching his head and rocking on his heels, "Do you like it?" He asks nervously. "I realise I never really asked how you felt about parties yet I did one for you anyway so if you want to get out of here-"

I silence him by pressing my finger to his lips which he promptly kisses, "I have to admit I never thought about having a party but I'm glad you did. Turns out I like surprises."

He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close, "Oh yeah? Well I've got another gift for you later."

"Is it a kiss? Cause you can just give me that now." I pucker my lips while he just laughs and shakes his head.

"You'll see it later. Now go mingle."

I do as he says and quickly work my way around the room conversing with Abel's family first. I'm even able to strike up a conversation with Monroe and that's a difficult task. After that I move onto Rolos family who it feels like I haven't seen in forever.

His parents got me a gift card to one of my favourite shops which I greatly appreciate.

I talk to the rest of my friends and ask about how they had this all planned.

"Well it was Abel's idea as you know." Starts Ana.

"We just had to keep you out of the house while we set the place up." Shrugs Rolo.

"Which obviously means your family was in on it too." Rani states.

"And you had no idea at all." Raphael laughs at me.

"Wow guys, I'm touched you went to this much effort for me." I turn to Abel, "Especially you."

I kiss him briefly on the lips and whisper closely to him, "I find more reasons to love you everyday."

"Yet it'll never be as much as I love you." He counters.

Music starts playing throughout the room and everyone starts dancing to each song. Everywhere I look, everyone's laughing or smiling or talking. It's clear how much joy there is in this place and that makes me even happier.

I look towards Abel and find him busting out some moves along with Rolo which makes everyone laugh. I don't think I give him enough credit for how much he actually does for me and how often he's there for me when I need it. He's honestly amazing and my heart continuously threatens to burst with the amount of love I feel for him.

As if feeling my gaze, Abel turns to me and winks before getting back to what he's doing. I sigh internally, what more can one person need?

When the party ends, everyone leaves but not before hugging me and wishing me more happy birthday.

The only one that stayed behind is Abel since he has something for me like he said earlier.

"Have you had a good day?" He asks sweetly.

I wrap my arms around his neck as he pulls me closer by my waist, "I did. Thank you so much for everything Abel."

"It's not a big deal Brown Eyes. I'd do anything for you." He looks deeply at me into both eyes and grins.

"So what was this second gift you were talking about?"

Abel drags me up to my room and sits me down on the bed before taking out his bag that somehow got into my wardrobe.

"When did you put that there?" I ask in confusion.

"When I was setting up." He says in obvious tone.

I watch as he removes a light blue gift bag filled with coloured tissue paper and wordlessly hands it to me.

"This is kind of heavy." I say absentmindedly as I start removing the tissue.

When I'm done, I remove the object from the bag and find that it's a large circular bottle filled to the brim with rolled up paper wrapped in red string and a cork at the top of the bottle.

"What's this?"

Abel scratches his head and sits opposite me on the bed, "Well Monroe kind of helped me out a bit but they're messages in a bottle for you. Each small scroll has a note on it and you can look at them whenever you want. I thought it would be something you'd like you know?"

Before I can respond, Abel takes out a note and passes it to me, "Here open one."

I unroll the small paper and read the words written in Abel's bold writing.

'My heart fell in love with your smile, my mind fell in love with your personality.'

My eyes soften and my mouth widens into a tender smile at the amount of thought and consideration that had to have gone into this. It's much better than any material gift he could give me since this has come directly from him making it that much more precious. When I read each note, I'll think about the love Abel has for me and it's so pure and real that it almost rips me apart.

"Abel I can't even begin to express how much this means to me. The fact that you wrote all of these and thought so deeply about it makes me feel on top of the world. How did I get so lucky?"

I crawl into his lap and he immediately wraps his arms tightly around me without hesitation.

"Do you even understand how much I love you Brown Eyes? I'd give you the world if I could."

My heart swells with adoration and at this moment, I truly believe that he would.

Isn't that so cute?! Imagine feeling sad or something and then reading a nice little message from the person you love? What a dream.
