Rani, Ana, and I leave our form room and head to main block where our first lessons are held. I have Psychology while Rani and Ana are taking Business. Sadly, they're not in my class with me but Rolo takes this subject so it's all good.

We're just about to turn the corner in the hallway when I'm stopped by the one person I'd love to avoid. Carter Tisaray. Standing at 6'1, Carter is built like a rugby player. He wears his typical jeans with a tight fitted shirt to show the muscles that girls drool over all the time.

"Oh look who it is." He says with a smirk.

I roll my eyes at him before speaking, "What do you want this time Carter?"

"What do you mean sweetheart? I just wanted to say hello to my favourite person."

"Get out of our way Carter." Says Rani.

"Was I talking to you?" He sneers, "I didn't think so."

"Now, sweetheart I think we have some business to attend to."

"Just leave me alone Carter, I don't have time for this.

I try to walk around him but he blocks my path.

"She said to leave her alone man." Abel says as he walks towards us.

Carter scoffs at him, "This doesn't involve you new boy so stay out of it."

While Carter is in a stand off with Abel, I speed walk around him with Rani and Ana by my side.

"You're gonna have to talk to me sometime sweetheart." Carter says before walking away.

"What was that about?" Abel asks.

I huff at him and speak, "It was nothing don't worry. And I don't need you fighting my battles Abel. I can handle myself."

I spin on my heel and head towards the second floor where my class is at.

"What's up with her?" I hear Abel ask Ana from a distance.

Settling down In my seat towards the back of the classroom next to my friend Rolo, I take out the necessary books and begin writing the date on my notebook.

"Yo Kez, how you doing today?" He asks.

I simply stare at him and say, "You saw me this morning you know how I am."

"I'm just trying to make conversation, don't snap at me."

I sigh in exasperation. "Sorry, just had a run in with Carter. You know how it is."

"Want me to rough him up for you? I'm pretty sure I can take him." He states smugly.

Rolo flexes his muscles at me to emphasise his point.

I laugh out loud to him.

"Put your arms down Hercules, I think I get your point."

Just as I turn around to face forward, the manly scent of sandalwood mixed with cinnamon surrounds me making me look towards my right.

Guess who I find removing my bag from the chair next to mine to take a seat? Yep, no one other then Abel. He's honestly everywhere.

"You didn't even ask to sit there Abel, I could have been saving it for a friend." I say.

"Are you?"

"Well no."

"Then I don't see a problem." He says smugly.

I don't respond and instead take in his appearance; today he's dressed in black jeans encasing his muscular legs with a plain white T-shirt, his black leather jacket and a pair of Timberlands. I have to say, this look is kinda hot.

Abel runs his hand through his curly dark hair before facing me with his piercing blue eyes.

"Like what you see brown eyes?"

"Um no I was actually looking at the guy next to you." I lie smoothly. At least I think I do.

"Mmhm sure. Don't worry though, I like having your eyes on me." Abel says while smiling.

Not knowing how to respond to that, I don't say anything. But of course, Abel continues.

"By the way, I really like your hair. I think it's cool."

I actually answer this time. "Thanks, I like it too."

"Does it take long to get it like that?" He questions.

"Eh only about 4-5 hours." I say nonchalantly.

"Only?! That's like a lifetime in my eyes."

"Really? And you call me dramatic."

"When have I called you dramatic?"

"On the plane when I commented on your huge hands being like the hulks. Then you go 'your being incredibly dramatic brown eyes'." I say imitating his voice.

"Wow you remembered all that? I was beginning to think you forgot who I was with the way you've been acting."

"What do you mean?"

"You've just been keeping your distance is all. I thought we got on well before and I enjoyed our time together even though it wasn't for very long."

I stare at him in astonishment. "Are you always this blunt?"

"Not blunt brown eyes, just honest." He says with a cheeky smile.

"Fine, I guess I had fun with you too." I say dramatically while avoiding his eyes.

Abel starts to chuckle at me and speaks. "I knew it."

I shove him slightly and scoff in exasperation. "Don't mock me. It's hard for me to open up you know."

I cross my arms and face the other way.

Abel grabs my shoulders and spins me around. "I'm not mocking you at all beautiful. I love knowing that you liked spending time with me. It makes me happy."

"Why though?"

"I don't know yet Keziah, but I'll figure it out soon."

Abel gives me one of his heart stopping smiles before focusing on our teacher.

Eventually, I turn away from him and look towards Rolando (who I accidentally forgot was there).

He gives me a knowing look before smirking and facing away. I wonder what that was about.

I go to an all girls school so sadly, something like this would never happen to me. I guess that's why I'm writing about it. What about you guys?
