'Keep going, keep going!! I must find a way to escape that monster!! The monster that killed my family!!'

You ran into the woods with tears spilling out of your eyes like a faucet, not enable to be closed off. A viscous demon barged inside your house and killed your family. You had a chance to escape and call for help, but the town was so far away.

You kept running despite feeling the your wounds becoming dirty and shallow. Your breaths were freezing due to the cold air that sorrounded the mountains, that also sorrounded your house. You hair tangled and disheveled on the tiny branches, that your hair manages to touch.

Your yukata was loosening, yet you payed no attention. Your first priority was to send help, even if the villagers won't believe you.

'C'mon faster!! Faster, faster, faster fas―'

You were too caught up in your thoughts, forgetting the fact that you were running on a rocky, and slidy terrain. This made you stumble on the ground and made you fall on a cliff. "AHHH!!!" You screamed practically covering you head from the huge impact the fall was gonna give.

As you were falling, the demon who chased you, jumped off the cliff and followed you. You weren't focused on the demon but for you safe landing, thus the sun was about to rise. So you were relieved.

"YOU'RE MY FOOD!!"

The demon growled and grabbed you by taking out it's long tounge. You were paralyzed, not moving one bit. Not squirming or wiggling, just still. Your mind was praying that the sun would come up soon.

Beads of sweat dripped down and soaked your yukata. "Oh, this one is a good human. Surrendering is my favorite, since it's less annoying than tiring myself." The demon laughed a very high pitched maniac laugh, that caused the birds to fly.

"I'M GONNA GOBB−"

The demons tounge was cut making you fall on the ground, once more. You thanked whoever saved you mentally, despite not seeing how they did it. You tried looking for something to land on, when you were almost to the ground.

Fortunately, you grabbed a branch and it made you relieved. But then tenses up when the branch started falling.

"KYAH!!"

You yelped and fell, you closed your eyes to endure the pain from your fall but, it never came. Instead, you felt someone's arm wrapped around you, securing that you are safe.

You opened your eyes only to meet dark cobalt ones. They held no emotion, yet you saw the slightest sadness and grief locked on his hues.
Your arms wrapped around his neck, allowing you to feel his long black puffy hair.

He looked at you, carefully examining if you were fine. "Are you okay?" His deep yet calming voice rang on your ears making you step out from your daydream about this mysterious man.

"Y-yeah.. th-thanks.." You shyly explained. "I'll ge-get off you n-now.." He lets you go, allowing your bare feet to touch the cold snow. You winced at the coldness and it made him give you his slippers.

"Here."

"No no no no no!! I won't do it! I'm fine, so don−"

Before you could finish, he already made you wear his slippers, making him touch the snow bare footed. You felt bad but decides to keep his slippers, I mean it's kinda rude to return a gift to someone who gave it to you.

So you left it like that. Then, you two were now engulfed in a silence dome. It was awkward yet comforting. Him staring at you deeply, keeps making your heart flutter. After a few minutes, you heard him move.

You looked at him and saw him looking at the moon.

"Tsuki ga kirei desune.."

You heard him whisper and your heart fluttered even more. That message was a shortcut to say if you are infront of the person you like. But you didn't think of that, that way.

"I shall take my leave then. Please don't travel around at night."

He turned and was about to disappear until I grabbed his mismatched haori. He stopped and looked at me.

"What's your name?"

"Giyū Tomioka, what about you?"

"(F/N) (L/N)"

"It was nice meeting you, (Name)-san, I hope that we'll meet again."

He disappeared without leaving a single trace. You fell on your knees and clutched your left chest where your heart was located. You felt it beating super fast when Giyū was with you.

You don't know what happened but you liked the feeling of it. The corner of your lips tugged upwards slightly.

"I shall await your return, Giyū."
