"Nope! No way! Absolutely not! I am not reading that!" I say to Rose.
"Suit yourself" she says then looks to Ben "how about you?"
"Sure." He says taking the book from her and opening it up.
"Where should we start?" He asks flipping the pages.
"Definitely on a chapter from Nikki's point of view." Rose says.
"Oh my god!" Ben laughs "it says here that Nikki tried to hook up with Tommy's mom!"
"Let me see that." I say grabbing the book from Ben.
They both start laughing as I begin reading the fine print, and realizing pretty quickly that his statement was true.
"Oh my god." I say flipping the pages some more "some dude beat him up with a baseball bat after he overdosed on heroine!"
"I thought some paramedics shot him up with adrenaline?" Rose asks.
"No that was another time." I say.
"How many times has he overdosed on heroine?" Ben asks.
"Apparently a lot!" I say flipping the pages some more.
"That's insane!" Rose says.
I continue flipping and reading sections of the book. "Here it says he slept with his first wifes mom!" I say.
"Give me the book back!" Rose says.
I groan "here!" I shove the book back into her hands.
She takes it and flips to later in the book "let's find where he's clean, that will probably be filled with some better stories."
"Yeah I don't know about that." Ben says.
"Well let's see." She begins reading a page "it says he was gonna kill this guy for sleeping with his wife... but didn't at the last minute."
"Well thank god." I say rolling my eyes.
"Yeah that would not have ended well." Ben says.
We eventually ended up in my room after a couple hours of continuing to look through the book.
"Well I don't know which part of this book is worse." I say "All of it or all of it?"
"I mean it could be worse." Rose says.
"How could it possibly be worse?" I ask her in disbelief.
"I agree with Kaia, it's pretty bad." Ben says.
"Thank you!" I say to Ben.
"When did this book come out?" Rose asks.
"Like 4 years ago." I say.
"Well when did they stop writing it?" Ben asks.
"Like 1997 maybe" I say "I'm actually not sure."
"Okay so for reference that was like 8 years ago." Ben says.
"Yeah and people can change a lot in that amount of time." Rose says.
"So your saying you don't think Nikki is like this anymore?" I ask.
"I mean your dad isn't is he?" Rose asks.
"That's debatable." I mutter.
"Well you know Nikki better than we do. What did you think when you talked to him?" Ben asks.
I shrug "I honestly thought he was pretty mellowed out. So I guess your right." I say.
"What ever happened to his second wife?" Ben asks.
