Short Flashback

Yo I'm back~
Finally done with exams!

Leon's POV:

[30 mins ago]

I was headed outside my apartment knowing that I was late. But I did not care really...

While walking, someone suddenly bumped into me from behind making me trip and fall over.

"YAH! What the hell?!"

And as I turned around to see who was that...

"Skylar?"

"Leon! Glad to see you! Can you please come with me quickly?" She asked between pants.

"Huh? Where? And we have school you know." I answered her as I got up and dusted off my trousers.

"Hmm....well...I was going to show you something that no one ever has before but it looks like you don't want it..." she pretended to walk away.

Show me something?

Curiosity got the best of me...

"Fine! I am coming wait for me!"

From the direction we were headed to I could tell that we were going to Mount Haku. But what did Skylar have there and wanted to show me?

She lead me to a narrow passage way between the bushes. Then there was a little hole that she crossed and I think I was supposed to cross it too but...

"Hey Skylar! Do you think I am that short as you to cross that?"

"Who are you calling short?!" She yelled back. "C'mon you can surely cross that if you crouch enough."

I sighed as I crouched down and tried squeezing through that hole. And finally I passed through. But my hair was a mess, my uniform was all dusted and tree leaves were all over me. And as I looked at Skylar I found her looking pretty much the same.

She looked hilarious...hehe..

"What are you snickering at?" She asked me with an annoyed expression.

"You look hilarious...pfft...haha..." I told her as I could not stop laughing.

"Baka!(idiot!)"she hit me playfully on my arm, "you look messy too!"

"Ok ok...haha...but seriously though.... what do you want to show me here?"I asked her.

She then grabbed my arm and pulled me to crouch down beside her as she slowly removed one of the nearby bushes.

And oh my god....

Removing the bush revealed 2 baby lion cubs sleeping there on the grass with no shelter nor food...and no parents too...

"I found them yesterday...I wanted to take them home with me...but my brother would snap at me because he doesn't like lions that much..." Skylar explained.

"I will take them." I immediately said.

My heart ached seeing them in that miserable state...it was as if I could feel the connection between us...

"Really?! Thank you thank you thank you Leon! I knew I could ask for your help in this situation! I really didn't want to just leave them here to die and starve."

"Do not worry I will take care of them and you can come and play with them when you visit." I told her with a smile.

We brought a cardboard box and put the two cubs in it as I carried them back home and Skylar came with me.

Skylar's POV:

As we entered his house...

"You live alone?" I asked him and he nodded.

"My parents are still in France...and they do not plan on coming here any soon, that I know of." He briefly explained while he was putting some milk in a small plate for the cubs to feed.

I decided not to ask any more questions since it might get awkward.

After feeding the cubs and playing with them I realized something...

"Leon..."

"LEON!"

"Hm? Why are you yelling all of a sudden?"

"LEON WE FORGOT ABOUT SCHOOL!"
I shouted as he stared into my eyes blankly as if trying to comprehend what I just said.

"EHHHHHH?!!" Then we both dashed outside running towards the school.

[10 mins later]

"WHAT THE HELL SKYLAR?!"

"SORRY!"

We were running back to his house again.

"WHO FORGETS HIS SCHOOL BAG?!"

"I SAID I'M SORRY!"

We finally arrived!

We headed straight to class knowing that we ARE late...

Leon opened the door and apologised to the teacher buuuuuut...

"Out."

And he just glared at me.....

Hehe....*gulp*
