No one's POV:

[The next morning at the academy...]

All the band of 7 were happy that they returned back to their own bodies so they all went to school in a happy and cheerful mood...

All except one...

"Mr. Wittmore? Are you alright?" Asked the teacher looking at Rufus in class.

Rufus felt...restless since morning...but he tried ignoring the feeling. Maybe he wasn't successful in not showing it...

"You're sweating and you don't seem well...shall you perhaps go to the infirmary?" Suggested the teacher.

Rufus was clenching his fists that his knuckles turned white and he was gritting his teeth all morning trying to stop himself....

From killing the people around him.

He knew he couldn't handle it anymore so he stood up quickly, his dark black hair covering his glowing eyes, and went out the classroom and into the empty hallway.

Being alone, without humans around him, made him feel better.

"What's wrong with me? I'm hella thirsty....but today isn't the night of the new moon....so why am I goin crazy for blood?!"
He spoke to himself while his hands were in his pockets and walking quickly with his head down.

The feeling was exhausting him for sure...especially that someone like Rufus isn't the kind of vampire who would go around sucking blood from innocent humans and leaving them to die just like that without mercy.

That's when someone running the opposite way, looking mostly in the same state as him, bumped in him harshly making that someone fall on Rufus...

"Argh...ya sure love to bump into people, huh Mika?" Rufus

Mika groaned from the fall and opened her eyes widely, noticing how close she was to Rufus' face.

But she wasn't worrying about that...she had other troubling matters on her mind....

Rufus noticed how her eyes glowed in a bright red and how she was shaking.

"Hey...you okay?"

She snapped out of it and realised that she was still on top of Rufus so she got off and stood up quietly. Rufus did the same and looked down at her.

"Mika...wus wrong?" He asked again while tapping her shoulder.
She finally looked up at him, her eyes still wide and irritated. She noticed how his eyes were glowing the same as hers.

"Rufus...come with me." She grabbed his hand they both dashed in vampire speed to the nearest girl's bathroom.

She pushed him inside and closed the door behind them then turned to him.

"Uh...I'm a guy if ya didn' notice." He stated while pointing at himself.

"This's not the time to fantasise about yer dignity...we got a problem..." she told him seriously then grabbed his arm and made him look in the mirror with her.

"See this? Our eyes're glowin bright red. Mine've been glowin since mornin an' I'm sure yours too, right?"

He nodded silently while looking at both of their eyes. Mika then looked at him, "Ya feel it right? Ya feel the blood thirst? The urge to suck that blood and snap someone's neck ey?" He gulped and nodded again.

Mika sighed, "I feel it too, so does my brother...which means that it's a common thing between all vampires in this town right now."

"It feels like it's the night of the bloody new moon...though it's not." Rufus said while arching his head backwards from the stress.

"I know...an' for someone like me...It's even harder...." she said looking down.

"Hm? Why?"

"Cuz I haven' felt this thirst for years..." she mumbled and Rufus widened his eyes while looking at her.

"For real?"

"Yeah...remember? I'm an original...my specialty's NOT feelin the blood thirst on a new moon's night...but now...I feel it and it's much more intense than any time I felt it..."

He sighed, "That's why you looked like a mess when you bumped into me."

"Rufus I....I don' know how to stop myself...I just ran outta the class cuz I kept hearin everyone's heartbeat an' their blood vessels pumpin with fresh blood...I felt crazy...out of control...and it scared me..." Mika was trembling a bit remembering everything.

For an original vampire who hasn't felt the thirst of blood for years...feeling it now at an intense rate is dangerous for humans around her...no one knows when she'll lose control

And when an original vampire loses control....it never ends well...and Mika knows that.

Rufus didn't know what to do too so he just hugged her. His action took her by surprise but, nevertheless, she calmed down.

He placed his palm on her head and sighed once more, "Calm down...we'll find a way to control it...an' I'm sure our friends'll help." She nodded against his chest then they broke the hug.

"Ya think...Elijah's behind this?" She asked looking up at him in the eyes.

"I think? No. I'm sure of it. That bastard has been messin with us non stop lately. Ya didn' see me in LEON'S body..."

"Wait what? Pfft...*chuckle*" Mika laughed a bit imagining how Rufus felt, switching bodies with Leon.

"Yah don't laugh. He made us all switch bodies an' some of us were gonna die."

"It was that serious?"

"Yeah...imagine how Gray felt bein in Atsui's body. Someone like him, adapted to the cold weather suddenly thrown in a very hot-tempered body like Atsui's...I'm just glad it's over but here we are...already with a new problem."

Mika returned serious again.

"That Elijah guy...isn't just messin with you..." she said.

"Huh?"

"He's tryna take y'all down one by one."
