I smile at the way that my mother has redecorated the dining room. I haven't been in this dining room in over a year but that's just because we usually eat in the kitchen or by the pool. I was also paralysed for most of the year so I didn't really leave my house, I only left for physiotherapy and doctor appointments.
"The place looks great." I say as my mother pulls me in for a hug.
