Nickolas pov :

looking at the woman in front of me I felt admiration , I always knew she had a story behind her but I never knew it would be this bad , I can't believe how strong and beautiful she is , and I couldn't help but fall for her deeper and deeper , in that moment I decided that I will make her mine , I will protect her and give her a better life , a life that she deserves, where she can be free and as wild as she wants, we continued that dinner talking about this and that , we laughed about stupid things and it was the first time in 8 years that I actually had fun or laughed and smiled, I couldn't believe how long at has been since I felt real with someone else , and I couldn't imagine this night to be any better.

it was 11 pm and Eva and I were walking around in the middle of the street talking and looking at people surrounding us , i had my arm around Eva's waist and she was leaning her head gently on my shoulder .

"let's go back you will catch a cold " I said to her feeling her slightly cold hands

"no I am okay , I like the breeze " I nodded my head making sure that I embrace her as close as possible to keep her warm , all of sudden I felt her body stiffen up and her gaze turned cold

"what's wrong ?

"we are being followed , keep walking and don't turn back , and when I give a signal start going towards your car and don't stop, they are here for me , I can take of this "

"Eva stop talking nonsense , you're not doing anything crazy , I will take care of everything , I am not leaving you " I warned her hoping she would listen , I know Eva isn't the type of woman I can restrain , but I will make sure to protect her , I have my sources and I know enough people to keep both of us safe, I took my phone out and called my men telling them the situation and sending them the exact location , after reaching my car I made sure to keep my hold on Eva tight so she wouldn't do anything crazy , but the moment we reached my car 6 men in black surrounded us giving us no route of escape .

" hello Eva it has been a while" the man who looked like the boss talked to Eva while he kept a cigar in his mouth and a hand in his pocket., I felt Eva taking a deep breath in and she turned around letting my hand fall to my side

" well if it isn't Lucian , and gentleman it has been a couple of years now , how my I help you ?" Eva said , her whole demeanor changing from the kind Eva , to the cold and ruthless mafia

"nothing much Eva just the usual , we are here to take you back to where you belong " on the mention of them taking Eva away I stepped closer holding Eva's hand and pulling her towards me .

" nobody is taking her away from me , are we clear " I saw the man shiver and his body stiffening a bit , but soon he started chuckling

"I am sorry Mr. royal , my boss would be mad if we made you our enemy so please just let us finish our job quietly" I smirked and looked at Eva hugging her closely towards me , i slowly touched her face with a gentle touch I tugged a strand of her hair behind her ear and I let my thumb linger on her jaw making her shiver in my arms, I couldn't help but feel exhilarated that I could this woman in my arms feel like this , and the next thing I did made the men around us gasp .

I crushed my lips on Eva's lips holding her closely, at first she was surprised and had her eyes open wide but after a while she closed her eyes and started kissing me back lifting her hands to snuggle in my hair tugging on the end of it , after a while I forced myself to leg go and let Eva hide her blushing face on my shoulder while I looked at the men around us that by now were surrounded by my men .

"tell your boss , that he better stop messing with my girlfriend , or the next time we meet, we will be enemies ," I saw him take a look behind him to see my men out numbering them , I took one last look at Eva and with cold piercing eyes I said

" now scram " it took the men a couple of minutes before they clutched their teeth and left

"you shouldn't have done that " I heard a quit voice coming from Eva while she pushed me away , I took a look at her face and saw her eyes drifting away, as she lifted her face to look at me

" shouldn't do what Eva ??"

" you shouldn't have lied and said I was your girlfriend , and you shouldn't have protected me , I don't need protection , I am more than capable of taking care of myself "

" I know that you can take off yourself Eva , and I wasn't lying, I want you to be my girlfriend and I thought I made my self-clear about that tonight and the past two weeks , or did I not give you enough hints , and of course I will protect you, I won't let anyone hurt you not on my watch " I said while keeping a determined look in my eyes

"are you an idiot, who said I will date you , do you how dangerous being with me means , what if anything happens to you " Eva starts shouting while hitting my chest with her fists , but within a second I had her pinned to my car door , I ushered for my men to give us some time alone

" what do you mean you won't date me , do you think I am playing around Eva , and don't you underestimate me woman I have enough resources to keep this whole country in my mercy if I want to , do you get it , so stop playing around and answer me will you be my girlfriend Eva queens ?"

" I --- I don't...." Eva started stuttering while some tears left her eyes and started going down her cheeks , breaking my heart with every tear that spilled , I gently wiped her tears with my thump and whispered in her ears that everything will be okay , and we will be okay together , after a while she finally said

" are you sure , I come with a package you know ?"

" I am sure , Eva queens will you my girlfriend ?"

"uhmmm yes , I would love to have you as my first boyfriend Nikolas royal" I frowned a bit when I heard the word first

"and last miss queens and last "
