chapter 57

Eva's pov: 

"i am staying ..." 

i heard Viktor saying, i was gonna object but the look in his eyes made me go silent , maybe it will be better if he stays , i smiled to myself as i nodded my head 

"then me and nick will leave , i will come to see you tomorrow , if you need anything call me right away " i said to Leo who was laying on the bed with a look of surprise on his face , after a second he regained his senses and said 

"got it , you go home and rest to , take care of my niece " Leo said as he patted my head 

nick held me hand and helped me up and started walking towards the door , i stopped in front of Viktor and said

"please call me if anything happens " 

"don't worry , this time i will take care of him " i can guilt in his eyes , there was all kind of emotions in his eyes , guilt , pain, remorse , plead , and something else something i couldn't put my hand into but i had a feeling in my gut that i know that emotion way to well , but i decided to ignore it , knowing better that the curiosity could kill the cat. 

me and Nickolas walked out of the room and started walking towards the elevator , nick was hugging me from my waist as i leaned slightly on him 

"lets get you checked before going home , your face is quiet pale " i shacked my head 

"i am fine , i haven't eaten anything that's all " 

"then lets go and eat " i nodded my head as we rode the elevator and after that we walked to our car and drove , both me and nick sat in the car quietly as i leaned my head on his shoulder while ben drove us , i kept thinking until i couldn't hold it in anymore 

"where is he ?" i asked nick without lifting my head , i felt nick's body stiffen under my head as he took a deep breath in

"hideout"  

"i want to see him "

"we will go together tomorrow " nick said as he caressed my head 

"today , i want to see him now nick " i lifted my head and said to Nickolas with determination in my eyes 

"Eva , right now you need to go home and eat a meal and rest , going there right now is not an option "

"i am fine nick , i need to talk to him , i can't rest unless i get this over with " 

"i am sorry Eva but this time i cant say yes , i have to put your health first , you and the baby are more important that anything else " nick said while looking straight into my eyes , he was so serious that this was the first time he had ever talked to me like that , i decided to drop the subject , i turned my head and focused on the road ignoring my surrounding , i heard nick sigh in frustration as he moved closer to me and pulled me into a hug 

" please believe me when i say that i just want to keep you safe , you went through a lot in your life and you deserve someone who can hold some of the weigh of your shoulders" i smiled as i hugged him back 

"i know love , thank you for everything up until now " we continued hugging each other for a couple of minutes before we pulled apart and sat together talking about the baby and when we should start preparing stuff for it , nick was so excited that his excitement was contagious , after 10 minutes we arrived home , we went to the kitchen right away , Joanna was more than happy to prepare a meal again for us , we ate together , or more like nick was force feeding me anything and everything he wanted and i happily complied  after that we went to sit with Lenna for a bit , me and Lenna sat in the living room talking about the baby while nick went to his office to finish some stuff .

at 10 pm i excused my self and went to my room , i took a warm shower to relax my stiff body , when i finished i found nick sitting on the bed waiting for me , his hair was dump and he was wearing a his silk pajamas the heater was already turned on , lately the weather was cold and i have been removing the quilt of my body so nick starting turning on the heater so i wont catch a cold  

"you took a shower?"

"yes in the guest room , come here i will dry your hair for you " i walked to his side of the bed with a towel in my hand , i sat down as he started drying it while massaging my head making me sleepy , i yawned as i rubbed my eyes 

"sleepy?"

"uhm , tired "

"are you mad at me?" nick asked as he finished my hair and putted the towel on the ground beside the bed , i turned my head to him and crawled to my side of the bed as i laid down under the quilt and said

"i was , but not anymore " i saw him look at me with relief " i mean at first i wanted to kill you for not telling me , but i guess i understand , you didn't want to worry me " he nodded his head as he slid down beside me and pulled me into his chest 

"i love you Eva "

"i love you more " i said as closed my eyelids and let sleep wash over me but before i totally drifted off i heard Nickolas whisper 

"thank you for coming into my life ...." and that night , i slept in the arms of the man that i love , i slept in the arms of my life
