In your arms

Shuichi's POV
She took my arm and nuzzled onto my shoulder... AHHHH. My cheeks felt bright red, and I was a bit stunned, but I guess I got a bit comfortable and laid my head back of hers. Holy crap I can't believe I did that. She smiled at me with her usual sweet smile, ah my hearttt! We all started walking towards the red carpet. People were screaming at the sight of us while cameras were either filming, or taking pictures of us it was definitely strange, it was like we were celebrities or something... I felt nervous but then I felt Kaede's grip on my arm tighten as she walked with me. She must be feeling nervous too huh? I turn to her and whispered in her ear "Hey, it's okay Kaede..."  "I-I know but what if I trip or something..?" She replied. "Then I'll catch you Kaede, don't worry you'll do fine, just imagine these people as your fans at your piano concerts" I whispered back. She gave me a sincere smile and whispered back "you're right, thank you..". Her grip had loosened but she nuzzled back into my shoulder then I did the same. "Ahhhh! Saimatsu is canonnnn!!!" I heard people behind the red rope scream. Both of us looked up surprised, that's the "ship name" huh?. I blushed red knowing that people shipped us, but that wasn't new, our friends did too... I heard that same lady that told us to be together, tell us to do "cute things" for the fans. "What do you mean?" I asked her. "Give each other kisses, hug each other, etc, just do it for the fans!" She said as she walked away. My checks once again, turned red, k-kiss? I look away at Kaede but when I turned around something unexpected happened...
Kaede's POV
W-wait she wants us to do romantic stuff? From the fan's reactions I can tell that it works... but he's my crush! What if he doesn't like it... but at the same time, I would enjoy it, and if it goes wrong I can make an excuse of that I was doing what she asks! So I summoned up the courage to try and kiss him on the cheek, but just as I do, I guess he noticed that I was close and he did the big mistake of turning around and... AHHHHHH! Sh-Shuichi and I-I a-are touching l-lips... I just kissed him! My eyes grew wide and so did his, my face felt extremely hot. I let go and looked away in embarrassment, "I-I'm s-so sorry Shuichi! I s-swear I d-didn't m-mean to!" I managed to stutter as I hid my face in my hands. "A-ah i-it's okay Kaede, I k-know it was an accident..." he said as he looked away blushing. Oh god what have an done... but just then loud sequels were in the crowds of people along with people with their phones out taking pictures. We both looked away in embarrassment. We continued walking towards the doors of the large gorgeous building. As we got away from the large crowds, I looked at him and told him "I'm so sorry about that event Shuichi, I wanted to do what she asked, a-and I'm sorry if you feel disgusted by me or if you didn't like it, it's just-" I got cut of by him holding my hand, which surprised me. "H-hey it's okay, I know it was an accident, and that you were just trying to help that lady" he said smiling "...plus, it wasn't that bad..." he muttered quietly looking away. My eyes widened, "W-what do y-you mean?" I asked as I turned red. "A-ah d-did I say that out loud! I-it's cause y-you're my friend and uh since you did what she asked it's uh fine.." he said looking away. "Oh um okay..." I said looking away, man I hate the friendzone... Even after the awkward moment, I never let go of his arm. We walked inside to this large area inside, the others were waiting for us, the area was filled with balloons, the company's logo was on everything, large tables filled with sweets, and other people on the large dance floor with a DJ. The party had seemed awesome, and there was balconies where you could see the bright stars outside, the place looked amazing! "Aye Kaede and Shuichi!" Kaito yelled as he still had Maki's hand. "So, what was that all about outside huh?" He added. "Huh?" Asked Shuichi. It didn't take me long to realize what he meant, my face turned bright red in return. "Oh ya know, when you and Kaede kissed." He smirked. I look over to Shuichi, he looked like a tomato, probably from the embarrassment, "n-no it w-wasn't like that! It was an a-accident!" He replied stuttering. "Mhmmm" replied Kaito, "that was an accident as much as I'm an-" he quickly got interrupted by Maki who had told me "Hey Kaede, come with me, we should get some punch". "Hm? Thanks but-" I was interrupted by her spine chilling stare that had basically told me 'you better come or you're dead'. "A-ah okay, um I'll come with you!" I replied not wanting to die. She grabbed my hand and led me next to the table where the punch bowl was held. "Hey Kaede you could take advantage of tonight, and confess to him." She said in a hushed voice. My stomach filled with butterflies just from that comment. "B-but what if he says no, and what if he never talks to me again?" I reply hesitantly. "Oh come on, this is Shuichi we're talking about, the worst thing he could do is say no and still be friends with you, plus, he seems really into you, so do it at a perfect time." She said, those words really did make sense now that I think of it... "You're right" I took a deep breathe, "I-I'll do it at a right time..." "Good, and trust me, it'll go fine." She said with a small smile. "Thank you so much Maki!" I said as I gave her a hug, she seemed surprised at first, but eventually gave in. I look over at the dance floor, everyone seemed to be dancing aside from a couple of people, I look over and see that Shuichi was walking over to me, just seeing him gave me butterflies in my stomach. "Hey Kaede, so uh you wanna dance?" He asked as he held out his hand. Oh man, is it just me or is it getting hot in here..? I smiled at him and took his hand, he took me to the dance floor where everyone else was at, as we started dancing to the upbeat music, now I do love classical music, but I also love other types! We spun and danced around, making corny jokes and having a conversation as we danced. I was smiling the entire time, but I couldn't help it, being with him and all of my friends makes me happy, I'm happy that I have a second chance to live, and I'm happy that he's here with me to enjoy it. The upbeat music had slowed down to a slow song, my heart beating faster and faster as couples got together, well all except Himiko, Tenko, and Kokichi and Tenko and Kokichi were fighting over who gets Himiko, to be honest Himiko just looked tired. Shuichi cleared his throat, and looked over at me, and like a prince he bowed a little and leant his hand over to me, looking up to me with a sweet smile. My heart was pounding as I took it. He wrapped his arm around my waist as I wrapped mine around his neck, as the other hands were holding. This feels like a fairy tail, as Shuichi was my Prince Charming, dancing with me on the dance floor. The soft song stopped playing as a familiar song was being played Clair de Lune. Shuichi looked up at me, and I noticed tears were starting to come out of his eyes. "Sh-Shuichi?! Are you ok?" I asked frantically. He lowered his head and gently smiled, "I-it's nothing... it's just that I can't believe you're here with me... throughout the killing game, the only thing that motivated me was you, you were the only thing that gave me courage, and this song was a reminder of you. It would play in my head every time I nearly felt despair, I can't believe I got to spend time with someone as amazing as you..." after he said that I felt my heart flutter, my cheeks became hot, but I felt so happy, maybe this is the time to confess? Hell I've never seen him so sweet, and I had to admit, he had a way with words despite his shyness. I smiled at him, took his hand and led him to the balcony near us. I walked up to him and wiped away his tears, he seemed a bit surprised at first, but then he took my hand and held it at his cheek, I was overwhelmed by emotion, and  ended up hugging him, leaving all of the anxiety out. "Shuichi... when I saw you and your confidence grow, so many emotions of happiness had overwhelmed me, the way you kept your promise was a reminder of why... why I fell for you..." that's it, I let it out... he looked up at me in surprise, "K-Kaede..?" He managed to let out. "I let it out, I'm in love with you, from the very start the way I fell for you grew more and more for each second, I'm happy I'm alive, and to be alive to see you again... and I know you're going to reject me so-" "K-Kaede wait!" He exclaimed interrupting me. "I-I feel the same way... I've fallen for you for a while n-now so... I wanna spend as much time with you as I can" he continued "... and...I wanna be in a relationship with you" he said with a lower tone of voice. My heart was pounding out of my chest, was this a dream? I noticed he got closer and started to lean in towards my face, my face turned red, but I leaned in too, only to feel his lips press against mine, it was soft and sweet and it was unforgettable, every inch of my body reeking with excitement, we eventually let go, and with a sweet shy smile he said "So, I guessing that's a yes?" We laughed at that last part. He lend out his hand and led me to the dance floor. We danced together both of my arms wrapped around his neck, and his on my waist. We were closer than before, our noses touching as we were dancing along to the soothing and special song that we both had held in our hearts, Clare de Lune. The others had noticed, and were certainty going to ask us what was going on, but we didn't care. "I love you Shuichi..." I whispered to him as our foreheads touched. "I love you too Kaede..." he whispered back. (Oof finally made these two a couple UwU)
