I arrived home to see the lounge light on and smiled as I knew this meant that Jake was home. I went through the front door and kicked my shoes off, sliding into the lounge and seeing Jake sat on the couch with some sheets of paper.
"Hey, well done for this weekend." I said cheerfully
Making my way over to him and sitting next to him I swung my arms around his shoulders; allowing my head to rest against him. Jake didn't reply but swept his hand through his hair before shrugging me off and grabbing the papers. I pouted slightly at his lack of affection but brushed it off and swung my feet up. He glanced at me with a small frown before muttering,
"Can you go on that couch, I need room,"
I sighed but silently complied and went over to the couch, lying down and grabbing my phone. I was scrolling through Twitter and clicked on a video which came out at a loud volume which I quickly turned down to a quieter volume.
"Please can you turn that down, I'm trying to concentrate," he said annoyed,
"It's on the quietest volume Jake,"
"Well I'm trying to concentrate,"
"Sorry..." I said softly.
decided to go upstairs to leave Jake alone for a while.

I opened my eyes with a sigh and was shocked to see that outside was dark and the clock was saying 11:00. I turned to my side but frowned when I was met with the cold sheets. I made my way downstairs to see Jake still but over some papers.
"What are you analysing?" I said from the doorway, Jake jumped at the noise but didn't turn around to look at me.
"I'm just going over the usual stuff so tire wear, track position, steering wheels and stuff... it doesn't matter"
"Yes it does Jake, I tried before to talk about it and you literally pushed me away and told me to move, then to be quiet."
"Because it doesn't matter y/n, leave me alone." He snapped,
"Leave you alone... alright Jake, I'll leave my boyfriend to be angry and sad all alone after a terrible racing weekend where I thought I could help but clearly not!"
"I didn't ask for your help you just talk and talk and talk about things I don't want to talk about with you... anybody but you!" He shouted, standing up and slamming the papers down.
I jumped slightly and stepped back,
"Okay Jake... anybody but me I get it." I said with a crack of my voice.
"Y/N, I didn't mean that and you know it."
I scoffed and replied,
"Maybe I don't Jake, how do you know that I don't think you actually want me to leave and that you want anybody but me."
"Oh please, I love you and you know it, you're being ridiculous." He sighed,
"You say you love me, but you don't you just love that car and when that car isn't working for you, you take it all out on me!"
Jake made a motion to walk towards me but I put a hand up to stop him.
"The way you talk to me and treat me Jake makes it feel like I'm a burden to you and your life,"
"Please don't say that, I do love you I really really do,"
Jake softly lowered my hand and led me to the couch where pulled me into his lap gently, combing his fingers through my hair and wiping under my eyes with his thumb, brushing the tears that had fallen away.
"I never say this enough and I know I should but since love you." He whispered,
"You said that then," I giggled, placing a delicate kiss on his tanned cheek,
"And I'm saying it again and I'll say it everyday so you know that I mean it."
And he did, he stayed true to his word, everyday no matter where we were; London, Italy or America he woke up, rolled over and told me...
