A week had passed since that awkward incident in the bathroom, Nicole had gotten back to being her bubbly self once again and Gabriel had gotten used to sharing his room with Nicole. Helen on the other hand has been busy making preparations for the wedding. She managed to get Gabriel to skip work for some days so he and Nicole could choose the decorations they would like for their wedding, the kind of foods, and also the flavor of cake they'd prefer. She was excited about her son's wedding, she never thought the day would come when she would see Gabriel getting married, she was glad he took her advice and finally moved on.

Helen took Nicole bridal shopping, to get the bridal gown and make any necessary adjustments to the gown early before the day and also to get a dress for their engagement party. They were in the boutique when Nicole got a call from Gabriel, he told her they would be going out on a date later that night. That got Nicole excited because it had been a while since they went out on a date.

Helen suggested that Nicole should have a makeover when they were done shopping. Nicole picked a beautiful green v-neck strapless tightly fitted floor-length evening gown for the engagement party. She couldn't take home her wedding dress the same day because it needed some minor adjustments as they had assumed. They did a little extra shopping aside from the engagement and wedding dress. After shopping, Helen took Nicole to a beauty salon to get her makeover done and also to get herself a new hairdo. It was already evening by the time they were done in the salon.

They got home and Helen excitedly went to the bedroom to show Jacob her new hairdo while Nicole went to Gabriel's bedroom. She decided to change into one of the dresses she got today.  She did a little retouch to her makeup before changing into a sexy black and white off-shoulder dress with black peep-toe ankle strap platform heels.

She checked herself in the mirror wondering if Gabriel was going to like her new curls or the dress she was wearing.

Why does she care so much about what Gabriel will think about her or her outfit? She mentally asked herself.

She decided to stop worrying too much so she wouldn't ruin their date. She wore her perfume, picked up her purse, and left the room.

Gabriel worked late that night because he wanted to make up for the days he had been absent. After working extra hours, he decided to go home because it was getting late. On his arrival home, Gabriel saw Nicole sleeping on the couch in the living room. She was all dressed up and looked so beautiful and peaceful while asleep. In that instant he remembered why she was dressed up, he had promised to take her out on a date.

How could he forget?

He couldn't help but have a strong sense of deja Vu while staring at Nicole. This was the same reason Ashley broke up with him, he suddenly felt guilty.

How was he going to make up for this? He wondered.

They had only reconciled a week ago and now, look what he had done, she was going to be upset with him again. He took a deep breath and started his way toward the couch.

Nicole felt someone stroking her hair gently, she slowly opened her eyes and saw Gabriel squatting in front of her.

"You're back. " she quietly said before looking at the clock, it was 10:00 pm. She didn't think it was necessary to go out again since it was already late and she was sure Gabriel would be tired.

"I'm sorry for just coming. I worked late and forgot about our date." he sincerely explained.

"I guessed that," she replied with a sad smile. Gabriel could see the disappointment in Nicole's eyes, he instantly felt hurt.
