Hoseok blinked a few times before stating, very dumbly, "What?"

Haneul chuckled before getting up and moving to sit next to Hoseok, the male began talking with his hands as he explained, "Think about it, her reason for keeping Seokyoon away is stupid. Cuts are an everyday part of life and i'm betting she really doesn't have a problem with them." he said, looking at Hoseok before averting his gaze. The younger male was staring at him so intently it made him blush. "So, uh, um, where was I?"

The dark haired male smiled softly, "Suran doesn't really have a problem-"

"Yes, yeah, okay!" Haneul covered his mouth, having spoken a bit too loud. Hoseok only chuckled, watching Haneul as he finally continued, "she's not trying to keep Seokyoon away from you she's trying to keep Yoongi away from you." Hoseok's eyes widened at that. "If it's true and she really does have feelings for Yoongi, then she will try to keep him away from you because she knows you two are getting serious. She's just using her son as an excuse to do it."

Hoseok processed this, soon coming to terms with the truth. Haneul didn't get a cut for anything he said, which means that everything he was saying is the direct truth. This had Hoseok aghast, was Suran seriously selfish enough that she would use her son to keep Hoseok and Yoongi apart?

Before he could say anything, Hoseok's phone began blaring loudly. The male rolled his eyes before taking it out and staring at the unknown number. After having a mini internal debate with himself he decided to pick it up.

"Hello?"

"Is this Jung Hoseok?"

Said male furrowed his eyebrows before saying, "Yes? Who is this?"

"My name is Seoyun and I am sorry to inform you that Minatozaki Akira has unfortunately passed away..."

Hoseok could feel his breath completely stop, his heart seizing movement in his chest. Everything went in slow motion for him, the phone falling out of his hands and the pain he felt. Of course, he didn't know Akira super great, but he knew she was a wonderful human being who didn't deserve the fate she was destined too. Hoseok's thoughts drifted to Sana, he can't even begin to imagine her pain.

"Hoseok!" Haneul shouted, shaking the male out of his trance.

The younger blinked away the tears in his eyes, he quickly picked his phone up again, "Yes, yes, sorry, can you repeat that?"

He heard a sigh, "We have called everyone on Akira's emergency contact list and you are the only one who has picked up the phone. If you can, may you please come down to the Kangbuk Samsung hospital to speak to me and come get Sana Minatozaki. I've been informed that you are-"

"Yes, I'm on my way." with that he hung up. He looked to Haneul and said a rushed, 'thank you, bye' before leaving his office and running out to his own car.

Haneul walked out with him up to the doorway of his office, Miran staring at the whole situation with confusion laced in her eyes, "What happened?"

The elder looked at her and shrugged before walking away to his office and shutting the door.

Miran stared longingly, her heart aching as she watched him go.

Hoseok has never ran faster in his life, his heart was palpitating in his chest at an obnoxious rate and he could barely control his breathing.

Though, before he walked into where he knew Sana and that woman were waiting, he made sure to calm himself down so he wouldn't look crazy. He wanted to look professional and not like he'd just ran a marathon.

Once he walked into the area, he heard Sana's heartbreaking sobs, along with the female yelling at someone to get away from her. Hoseok's expression turned to one of sympathy, he could clearly tell how harshly this was affecting Sana.

"Get away from me!" she screamed at the woman trying to console her, her blue eyes were releasing tears at an alarming rate and her face was completely red.

The young female looked over at the entrance of the area she was in, her breath catching in her throat when she saw Hoseok. She could tell he'd just come from work by what he was wearing, and she saw the sympathetic expression he had painted on his features. Without a second thought, she sprinted towards him, wrapping her arms around his waist as she cried.

"She's dead!" she yelled, her knees giving up on her. Hoseok crouched down to the ground with her, listening to her cries and softly caressing her hair, "S-she's gone! H-hoseok she's gone! Why?! Why did they take her!?" Hoseok could feel the tears brimming his eyes as he listened to her cries, the male keeping himself from letting them out.

He stared at the woman dressed in a pantsuit, her hair tied in a loose bun, she looked extremely professional and showed little to no emotion on her features. She gave Hoseok an expectant stare.

What a bitch, Hoseok thought before pulling Sana away from him and looking into her blue eyes. "Hun, I need to speak to that woman over there, can you please sit. I'm so sorry and we will talk, I promise you."

Sana nodded, glaring at the woman before sitting down and trying to calm herself down. Though the pain she felt was way to grave. She just lost the most important person in her life, she wishes it could've been her, not Akira. Akira didn't deserve to die, she deserved to live and stay with Sana until the end. Before Sana could stop them, more tears escaped her eyes and she was sobbing all over again for her aunt to come back.

Plus, it wasn't like there was any other family of Akira's there. Sana's mother, Akira's sister, could only be around when Sana wasn't. Also, her grandparents aren't in Seoul at the moment.

"My name is Lee Seoyun and I work with DSS," the woman, Seoyun, stated, "due to the unfortunate passing of Minatozaki Akira, Sana is going to have to go into foster care. Her grandparents aren't eligible to care for her and no other family-"

"Why foster care?" Hoseok inquired, giving her a slight glare, "Why call me here to tell me that?"

Seoyun sighed, fixing her suit jacket, "Because she will need someone to stay with untill we pick a suitable foster home for her to go too-"

"Why can't she stay with me?" Hoseok questioned, "I'm already on the call list, i'm a good person? Sana can just stay with me, I don't want her going into the foster program."

"Sir, that's not how it works-"

Hoseok interrupted her again, his voice firm, "Well, make it work, I'm not letting her go through the foster system. I'm her therapist."

The female huffs, keeping her mouth shut as she walks away to make some calls to her higher ups. As she does this, Hoseok walks back over to Sana.

Right when he's close enough, he pulls Sana close to him, the young girl sobbing harder than she was before. Hoseok let her, knowing she needed this after who she just lost.

He was determined to not let Sana go through anything else.
