Quinn's POV

"I can't believe that you are here." I say walking out of the doorway and hugging her, "Thomas wanted tome take a little solo vacation why he did some business, and I thought why not come visit my best friend." I can't remember the last time I saw Sarah because it has been years. "Why do you smell like a guy?" Sarah asks me as the two of us pull out of the hug. I quickly smell my clothes and I do indeed smell like Nick, "My brother hugged me before I left and it must have rubbed off on me." I lie trying to cover up the best I can, "You certainty don't look like the doe eyed nerd girl that I once knew." Sarah just smiles as the light of the sun catches the ring on her finger,

"Is that an engagement ring?" Sarah look down at the ring then back at me with an even bigger smile on her face, "It is indeed, Thomas finally popped the question a couple months ago when we were on vacation." Sarah gushes and I guess whatever happened to her seem to have worked out for her in the end. "I can't believe that you traveled all this way." Sarah waves me off adjusting her purse on her arm. "Is anyone else home, it has been forever since I saw everyone, and I know that it is late but I sorry to hear about your mom." I give Sarah a weak smile knowing that she saw my mom like the mom she never had,

How did you hear about that all the way on the east coast?" Sarah lets out a deep breath, "My fiancé Thomas has his ways of finding anything out, rather it be the east coast, the west coast, and anywhere in between." Sarah always dreamed of finding the perfect man and from the way she talks about Thomas I would say she found him. Sarah takes a step forward but then it clicks in my head that Nick is still inside the house. "Aren't you going to invite me?" I stand there speechless for a second trying to come up with some excuse,

"Just give me one second to clean up a little bit." I rush inside closing the front door and speed walk into the living room where Nick is watching TV full dressed again, "You need to hide." I say as Nick looks at me with a confused face,"What are you talking about? Why would I have to hide?" Nick scoffs at me turning his attention back to the TV, "My old friend from high school just showed up out of the blue, and if she sees you it is going to raise a lot of questions." Nick stands up before heading up the stairs and I let a breath of relief, "Thank you." I say to him before walking back to the front door and opening it,

"Sorry about that, please come on it." I smile as Sarah walks inside and a smile comes on her lips, "This place brings back happy memories." I close the door while Sarah wanders around the house making her way into the living room and I follow right behind her. Sarah and I spend what feels like forever catching the other one up on what is going on in our lives, but I make sure to leave out anything to do with Nick except telling Sarah that he is one of my best friends, and I can't help but feel a tiny bit of envy of Sarah's luxury lifestyle but then again Sarah has always been a high maintenance type of girl,

"It sounds like you are doing well in Liberty Falls, and your Thomas sounds like he loves you very much." Sarah sighs leaning against her arm on the couch, "To say that I was lucky to find him would be an understatement, Thomas not only saved my life but he changed in ways that I never thought possible." Hearing Sarah talk about Thomas makes me think of not only Brenton but also Nick, and just like that Sarah I turn our heads to see Nick walking down stairs.

"Is this Brenton?" Sarah asks standing up from the couch, "No, I'm Nick Romero."Nick takes Sarah's hand placing a small kiss on it. I look at Nick with anger in my eyes and if Sarah wasn't in room right now I would be strangling him for putting me in this awkward and uncomfortable position, "I have to say that you look a lot like my Thomas." Nick smiles a dazzling smile letting go of Sarah's hand, "I will take that as a compliment." Thomas leads Sarah over to the couch as Sarah and I sit down on the couch while Nick takes a seat in the chair near the couch,

"I wish I could stay longer but Cole has been blowing up my phone since I walked in the front door, but I am going to be in town for a few days, and I would love to reconnect with you Quinn." I nod my head giving her one last hug as she stands up, "It was nice meeting you Nick, and I have to say that the two of you make a very cute couple." Sarah winks at me before walking out the front door and leaving the house. Once I hear Sarah's car pull away I right away start swatting at Nick, "What is wrong with you?" I ask hitting him his arm again, "I got bored upstairs and you didn't actually tell me how long to stay up there."I growl at Nick grabbing a pillow off the couch and hitting him in the face,

"That was beyond awkward Nick." I throw the pillow onto the couch as Nick wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me onto his lap, "Let's not ruin our hang out day, I will make it up to you and let you pick out what we watch." I cross my arms over my chest, "Even if it is girly?" Nick gives me that look like he wants to say something but instead he just lower his head and sighs, "Fine, but you should know that you are the only girl that has EVER convinced me of this."I smile at him kissing his cheek, "That is because you have never had a girl just be friends with you." Nick stands up and lays the two of us on the couch placing me on top of him with my head on his chest, and I grab the remote off the table and turn on Netflix,

"I think I can compromise with you and pick a show that we both could enjoy." I say turning on Riverdale.
