Meliodas POV

There was an uneasy feeling I sensed from the chief as he led us to the chamber of (Y/N). His confident tone hid a hint of apprehension, making me wonder what we were truly up against. The flickering torches cast eerie shadows on the damp walls, intensifying the ominous atmosphere. As we descended deeper into the underground labyrinth, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something sinister awaited us. Filled with trepidation, I clutched my weapon tighter, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead and rescue (Y/N) from her captors.
"Here we are, (Y/n)'s body lies behind this door," the chief said confidently. "Then let's open this door and find out the truth," they stated, as their voice filled with determination.

They entered after opening the hefty door. "Thank you, chief," everyone said except for me. As the final person to enter, I cast a glance at the chief, who bowed to me and smirked at the corner of his lips. He appeared behind me and shoved me inside the room, and I exclaimed, "You cunning old man!!!" The door was abruptly closed.

Everyone was shocked as the door closed with a loud bang. The room was dimly lit, and a feeling of unease settled over us. The chief's betrayal had caught us off guard, leaving us trapped in a potentially dangerous situation. We exchanged worried glances, realizing that finding the truth might be more challenging than we had anticipated. "What are you youngster's doing there facing the door? Come here, and behold!" he exclaimed. We looked back, and it was the chief. He snapped his finger, and /the lights flickered on, revealing a room, and there was (Y//n) laying in bed, soundly asleep. "Who exactly are you, old man?" I inquired. The chief burst out laughing, his eyes flashing mischievously. "Like I said, we are the protectors of this Great Tomb," he said, standing upright and authoritatively. He said, "And that there is (Y/n), an entity known to possess extraordinary powers." As the realization struck me, I couldn't help but wonder what kind of adventure we had just stumbled into. "So, that's why you know every structure of this great tomb," Zeldris stated coldly. "But I think it's more than a protector," Ban was quoted as adding. "Well, it's too early, but you got me, man," the chief said, expressing sadness. "Anyway! The truth is... I am Death," the chief stated, laughing as he turned into death.

As the chief transformed and revealed his true identity as Death, a chilling silence fell over the room

As the chief transformed and revealed his true identity as Death, a chilling silence fell over the room. The gravity of the situation sank in as Death's presence enveloped us. The adventures that awaited us now seemed much more dangerous and uncertain, knowing that we were in the company of such a powerful being. With a mixture of fear and excitement, we braced ourselves for the trials that lay ahead.

Death's POV

I diminished my aura as soon as I realized that they were having trouble as a result of my presence. "Now, stand up, youngsters; I didn't mean to do that," I said with a voice full of regret. "Thanks to you guys for opening the gate, our powers came back to us Guardians. Oh, and don't be concerned about the residents in the village since they were only an afterimage we created," I continued. The room slowly returned to its normal ambiance as the tension eased, allowing them to catch their breath. They carefully stood up from their positions, still in awe of my strength but consoled by my unexpected kindness. As they prepared to face the unknown, they couldn't help but feel a flicker of curiosity and hope amidst the lingering fear. "Guardians? Then where's your other comrade as a guardian?" Zeldris asked. "I've arrived; I apologize for being late," my friend remarked as he emerged in front of us and approached me. "I know that everyone knows me; once again, I'll introduce myself. I am The Great Holy Knight, Zaratras, and the Guardian of (Y/N)," I declared as everyone was bewildered. The crowd gasped in astonishment as they realized the true identity of their mysterious savior. Zaratras, the legendary Great Holy Knight, was standing before them. The air was filled with a newfound sense of reassurance and confidence as the people realized they were in the presence of their true hero.

Zaratras POV

"As expected, everyone was surprised by my appearance since you all thought that I was dead. Well, I am a living legend traveling from one place to another until I became the hero, let me explain first: the one that you saw in the tower that was murdered was an afterimage of me. And becoming a great holy knight was because of (N/n), not for Elizabeth. Joining the holy knights in the Kingdom of Liones was a mistake for me. I thought their princess was (N/n), but I was wrong, because that stupid Fraudrin changed the fate of that child," I clarified. "I know. I'm sorry, and at the same time, I'm thankful to you, Lord Zaratras, that even though I'm not (N/n), yet you still protected me," Elizabeth stated in a thankful manner. "It's my pleasure, princess, since I'm also grateful that I've met you, so live the life you want," I said in a reassuring tone. "Don't let the mistakes of the past define your future. You have the power to shape your own destiny, Elizabeth. It is never too late to make things right. Follow your heart and find your true purpose in life." Elizabeth nodded, a newfound determination shining in her eyes. "Thank you, Lord Zaratras. I will take your words to heart and forge my own path, one that brings happiness and justice to the Kingdom of Liones."

Meliodas POV

"Now. Now, my friend, we've wasted too much time; we cannot delay any longer," Death said to Zaratras. "It seems so, my friend; then what are you doing, Death? Tell them already," Zaratras said as he smacked Death in the head.

"There's no need for an introduction since we've known everyone else, and I'll get to the point. Well, we've been expecting you guys to come here since the soul of (Y/N) disappeared," Death said. "What do you mean, soul of (Y/n)?" Elizabeth asked. "Sigh. You know the story called "Soul," right? It seems that you know since I am the one who wrote that story. And that was about the story of Master, and our Master name is (Y/n)," Death remarked. "So, where's the body of (Y/n)?" I asked in a cold tone. "How daring, and it appears you're impatient; I admire your guts," Death teased. Zaratras tapped the shoulder of Death, as it meant that he should answer the question. "Behold!" Death exclaimed while spreading his arms. Then another door appeared in the room. "The body of (Y/n) was beyond that door," Lord Zaratras stated. "But only Meliodas can enter beyond that door, since he is the key to bring (Y/n) back to us," he continued. Everyone looked at me with determined eyes, and as they laid their hands on my shoulder, they said in unison, "You can do it, Meliodas. We believe in you." With a newfound determination, I stepped towards the door that held (Y/n)'s body. I took a deep breath, feeling the weight of everyone's hopes resting on my shoulders. As I reached out to touch the door, a surge of power coursed through me, confirming that I was indeed the key to bringing (Y/n) back to life. With a confident smile, the door automatically opened, and I am ready to face whatever challenges awaited me on the other side, knowing that I would do everything in my power to save (Y/n).
