Once morning hits I grab more cans of food and we all sit in silence and eat. My dad says that we are going to be heading out today. I pack up my things and grab my knife. Once we hit the road a giant crowd of walkers come near. I sprint one way and my family sprints the opposite way. I was going to wait to go over to them once the walkers passed, but they didn't wait for me. They just kept running away. I don't think that they noticed I wasn't with them. I kept running farther and farther into the woods. After a while I stopped. Two girls approached me.
"Hello" they said in unison
"Hi... Who are you?" I asked
"I'm Kate." Said the one girl. She had long blond curly hair, pale skin, and dark brown eyes.
"And I'm Morgan." Said the other girl. She had brown hair, pale skin, and green eyes.
"What's your name?" Morgan asked me.
"I'm Kira." I said. "I just lost my family and my one friend. There was this huge group of walkers and we both went opposite directions. We were trying to get to the city. Do you want to come? There are supposed to be other survivors there."
They both looked at eachother.
"Can we trust you?" Kira asked.
"Definitely. I promise." I told them.
"Okay, we will come with you. But if you try anything, and I mean anything you will be dead in three seconds. Deal?" Morgan asked
"Deal" I responded.
