(1st person pov for the rest of the party)

I should've guessed that witchcraft would've involved Rose. She gives me the cold shoulder and turns to Karkat. His jaw is dropped. Well just his mouth his open. He's upside down on the fridge. How'd he get up there anyway? She smiles at Karkat. Then turns to the other guy. The nerd. 

"Come On Sollux. I Have Some Cool Enchantments That I Can Do On Your DJ Stand." Rose waves him over. So his name is Sollux... and he's the dj. Huh. Must be a pretty techy dude. They crawl through the tunnel they entered in. I only just realized that they left me alone with Karkat. Oh. Shit. It's quiet for a bit. He starts to speak.

"YOU KNOW... I THOUGHT YOU WERE AN ASSHOLE. BEING POPULAR AND ALL..." Ah yes. The words that have to break the silence. Wait. Why would he think I'm an asshole.

"And I think you're odd for assuming that without actually getting to know me." I snicker.

"I get it. I barely even knew you Karkles. In fact  I still barely know you." I chuckle and lean against the wall.

"I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW YOU LEARNED MY NAME." Karkat flips over onto his stomach. Isn't it uncomfortable up there.

"it's a long story..." I scratch the back of my head.

"DO TELL STRIDER. I HAVE TIME." He places his palms on cheeks. It squishes his face into a cute little smile. A cocky little smile. He kicks his legs back and forth. I sigh. Time to explain.

"Alright don't laugh. In junior year I had this.. well lets say... random interest in you."

"A CRUSH."

"Yeah okay. Now I had nooooo idea who you were. I just kinda had this crush on you. I would find myself staring at you from across the room. I heard everything you said. I'm not a stalker. I just heard you... because you are extremely loud. Anyway. I heard you yell at the teacher and all that. I fell in a strange way. But. I had no idea who you were. As I said... So. I may. Or may not have. Asked the entire class. What your name was. I finally learned your name from Jade when I started dating John. Bam. Long story short. I liked you and wanted to know." I sigh again. Karkat raises an eye brow. His smile fades.

"UH HUH. OKAY. SHALL I TELL MY STORY?" Karkat says. The speed of his legs increases. 

"Oh so you have a story too huh?" I smirk. Karkat nods.

"OKAY SO. FRESHMEN YEAR. I WAS... WELL... I HAD."

"A crush?" I raise one eyebrow. Karkat sighs.

"YES. BUT HERE'S WHERE THE STORY GETS WEIRD. I LIKED YOU. FOR A WHILE. A WHILE, WHILE. THEN. YOU STARTED STARING AT ME IN CLASS JUINOR YEAR. YOU CONNECTING THE DOTS? GOOD. WHEN YOU STARTED DATING JOHN I BASICALLY MOVED ON. THENNNN. THEN. YOU. MISTER ALLMIGHTY GOD OF SCHOOL. DECIDED TO PICK ME UP OFF THE STREET. SAVE ME FROM YOUR JACKASS BOYFRIEND. DON'T FIGHT ME ITS TRUE. BUT ANYWAY. MISTER FLYYY. SAVES ME WITHOUT A WORD SPOKEN UNTIL I'M BASICALLY KIDNAPPED. DROPS ME OFF AT THE NURSE. I TRIED TO SAY THANK YOU BUT I PASSED OUT. DONE. IS YOURS W I L D OR BASIC COMPARED TO MINE?" Karkat climbs down the fridge. Okay. Wow. That was... a lot to take in. I make a smug face and stroke an invisible beard.

"Idk... sounds like mine is believable. Aside from the part where your called me mister fly" I say sarcastically. Karkat rolls his eyes. 

"WELL WE SHOULD PROBABLY SEE WHAT EVERYONE IS DOING IN THE PARTY/BALLOON ROOM." He climbs down the fridge. He waves me over. We crawl into the tunnel we came in. When we arrive at the pillow room, there's music playing. The LED's are flashing. Karkat jumps onto the couch. I watch. It looks like Rose's girlfriend is here. Jade is playing on her switch with another guy. He looks like a seadweller. I spot a bottle of something in the corner of the room. Looks like someone is trying to spike the drinks. Oh well. I don't mind having some alcohol under-age. I flop backwards onto a pile of balloons. I sink to the bottom. I see Karkat run and jump into the balloons next to me. He laughs. He's got a cute laugh. Wait what? Did I really just say cute? Ugh don't tell me that my crush is coming back. 

"Balloon pile!!" Jade shouts as she jumps in. We all start laughing. The fun type of laughter. I feel my hand slide across something. I look down and see Karkat's hand. I move my hand away quickly. He does too.

"Hey guys lets do one of those internet challenges!!" Jade says. Internet challenges? 

"Whiich challenge?" Sollux asks. Dang this dude has quite the lisp. Jade pulls out her phone.

I was reading into this one called the chapstick challenge!!" She shows her phone to Sollux. He examines the phones screen.

"Gue22 we piick partner2. ii call ED." ED? The seadweller dude? Does ED stand for something?

"Well I'm gonna be upstairs checking in on my brother. So the rest of you pick partners without me." Jade crawls through a tunnel. She goes to the right and out of sight. I immediately see Rose  grab onto Kanaya. So that leaves me with... god dammit. Karkat and I sit up and look at each other. My chest feels all weird inside. Sollux reads Jade's phone.

"2o what we are 2uppo2ed 2 do ii2 we have a bunch of chap2tiick flavor2. Jade probably ha2 them prepared 2omewhere. 2o one partner ii2 2uppo2ed 2 clo2e theiir eye2. The other partner put2 on a chap2tiick flavor of theiir choiice. You have 2 kii22 and the per2on wiith theiir eye2 clo2ed has 2 gue22 the flavor. iif they gue22 correctly they wiin that round." Sollux shrugs and looks around.  He opens a cabinet drawer and drops a bunch of chapsticks on the floor.

"Got them. Al2o ii'm gonna make thii2 ea2iier and 2ay that the bottom2 clo2e theiir eye2." I laugh in my head. Wow sollux. Wowww. I nudge Karkat.

"That would be you Karkles." I actually snicker out loud this time. Karkat nudges me back harder. He crosses his arms and looks away from me. He lets out a loud sigh, then turns back to me.

"CHALLENGE EXCEPTED. I'LL WIN. TRY ME!" Karkat says. I feel like he's gonna regret that. Oh well.

"Alriight. Bottom2 clo2e your eye2. Top2 you get the driift." Sollux says. I look around the room and see Kanaya and the seadweller closing their eyes. I never thought Rose would be a top. Anyway. I turn to look at the chapsticks.
