i answered the call.

"did your date come?"

"no..but i found out that it's a boy! isn't that great news?"

"yeah, it sure is."

"what's wrong kevin? you can tell me."

"it's nothing."

"it's not nothing if you're so upset about it. what's wrong?"

"it's just that you're so happy about your secret admirer that i don't think i have a chance with you anymore. all you talk about is him and the stupid gifts he gives you and how much he loves you. well i love you too idiot! i was too scared to tell you because you were gonna find someone new. you happy?"

"you love me? jacob was right!"

"i don't wanna hear about him anymore. when you're ready to have s real conversation with me, let me know, otherwise don't talk to me."

i hung up.

are you kidding me? he really likes that unknown kid, over me? we could've been like the sun and moon! shining brightly in the sky but so far apart...now i get it.

he'll never love me the way i love him, and that's depressing.
