(A/N: so ima switch this math up a little bit, Kind is 14 now after some years. Kentrell is 24 and lost her, years ago. I'm not gonna say how many years ago, because I don't know for sure. I know the math is off, I didn't think about it when I wrote it, but now I am. Anyway, back to the story💕)

Edit: this book is very cringey.

"This is your 4th time running away from your foster homes, Kind. One day your gonna runaway and no ones gonna want you anymore." Mrs. Holmes said as soon as I walked into the building.

I rolled my eyes, "and this is like the 100th time y'all tried to let me stay in an toxic environment. Those foster parents are never gonna be as good as my—

"Dad? He's not coming back for you Kind! Your here 'till your 18, and only 18!" She looked at me. "So you can run away as many times as you want, thinking your parents are gonna show! I don't care anymore and soon you won't either, once your being let out at 18 and not sooner." She said before walking away.

I held a blank face, not really giving a fuck about her and her stupid ass comments. I went to my room that they set up for me, when they realized I was running away.

I threw my book bag on the bed, causing it to fall on the floor. I slammed the door shut and flopped down on my bed, putting my head in my hands.

My phone beeped, making me pick it up and see it was from the people who were fostering me.

I blocked them and wiped my face and looked over on the ground at my book bag. I picked it up, looking inside seeing my bear.

I slightly smiled at it while grabbing it. The bear was still in good shape, no holes, no dirt marks, no rips, no missing cotton, it was still perfect, just like when I first got it.

"Open up this door, Kind!"Mrs. Margin yelled from outside of my room door. "Now!" I heard her say.

I rolled my eyes, stuffing my bear back in my book bag and walking to the window. I opened it quietly, climbing out and hopping down on the ground.

"Running away?"I heard, making me jump but quickly roll my eyes. "That's all you ever do is run away from your problems. That's why you ain't got no daddy now." Will said.
