Stefan's point of view

I watched Jeremy's body jerk and convulse while his spirit bounced back inside, then he took a deep breath and became still again but I could hear him breathing and his heart was beating... Sheila however collapsed on the ground and her heart beat was so faint and then it stopped. I panicked and gave her some of my blood trying some chest compressions and it started beating again making me sigh in relief.

I picked Jeremy up placing him in the back seat and then  helped Sheila sit upright, and lean against one of the walls; I made sure she was alright and asked her to call either me or Damon if she needed anything before I drove off to the Gilbert's house to drop off Jeremy. By the time we arrived there he was already waking up and he wanted to let me thank Damon on his behalf saying he could see everything from the other side and he knew Damon was trying to help him.

Damon came back home late and went to his room right away which was weird for me. I thought he would try to ask about Sheila and Jeremy but he just got in without even acknowledging I was here and went upstairs to his room, took a shower and then went to bed.

In the morning I found him sitting near the fire place with a glass of scotch in his hand which was strange,  my brother loved his bourbon and seeing him drinking anything else was out of character for him. I moved closer to check on him wondering if last night's events were bothering him and worried he might have found out about Sheila's near death experience. I was worried he was disappointed in me since he left her in my care.

"Damon" I called him taking a seat next to him & he looked at me with an unreadable expression "Did you talk to Sheila?" I asked and he tilted his head to the side and looked like he was trying to figure something out, maybe he was thinking of what to say to let me know I let him down with the Bennett witch without being a d*%k about it but to my surprise he smiled at me "No Stefan, I didn't. Should I talk to her? Did she send me a message with you and now you can't say it?" he asked in a strange tone. I couldn't exactly determine what was off about him but the way he was talking and the way he was sitting everything about him irked me and I couldn't place my finger on it but he was definitely acting strange.

"Well she got Jeremy back from the other side successfully, but she overwhelmed herself and we almost lost her to a cardiac arrest" I said expecting him to jump out of his seat & race to the Bennett's residence, instead of doing that he rolled the glass he was holding between his hands and stared the liquor inside then he looked at me "Almost being the keyword here so I assume she's fine & there is nothing to worry about" He said shrugging and went up to refill his glass taking it with him upstairs.

That was not how I imagined this talk to go, there must be something upsetting him or occupying his mind this much that he's not showing any reaction to me bringing up his favorite Bennett witch.

A couple of hours later and I went upstairs to Damon's room to ask him when he would lift the spell off of Elena and Anna only to find him sitting on his bed reading what I presumed to be one of those magic books. I knocked on the open door to announce my arrival and gain his attention and he looked up from the book annoyed and before I managed to utter a word he spoke up "Once Sheila gains her strength back ask her to wake up your girlfriend Stefan, I don't have time for this" he said aggressively and closed the book standing up and going into the bathroom slamming the door behind him.

There must be a reason to why he was acting like that and for him to refuse to lift the sleeping spell out loud was alarming to me, but then again with the amount of magic he used in the last couple of days from teleporting across the states to lowering the veil to the other side to helping Sheila fossilize this faceless Silas and then being channeled to get Jeremy back into his body he must be feeling extremely exhausted so I let it go for now.
