mina looked up after reading the note to see ethan smile at her. she rolled her eyes after looking away, not trying to be rude.
"let me guess, ethans asking you out....again" one of her friends named jess asked
"unfortunately" mina chuckled and looked back up front when the teacher walked into class.
"okay so for this task you can do it solo or in partners, you may start now. it's due by the end of tomorrow's class and i want you to show all your work or I'll deduct points" the teacher finished and walked over to his desk in the corner to start grading tests.
everyone started picking partners and a few people walked over to mina as she was one of the smartest in class.
"hey mina, do you want to be partners" a boy who sits at the front of the class named mark (lEe)
she shook her head and mumbled a small sorry and smiled at him. about 4 more people asked her the same thing. mina wasn't the person who liked to work with other people for projects especially in math considering she was one of the top students in class and she knows they'd use her for a better mark.
she began working until someone slid into the seat beside her
"we're partners now" ethan said opening his binder
"last time i let you work with me i did all the work and you stared at me the whole time so sorry no" mina didn't even look up
"please mina" he gave her puppy dog eyes
"ethan, i already said im going to work solo. go work with someone else" he pouted and walked away

mina went to her locker after the final bell rang, putting away all her stuff and packing her bag. ava ran up beside her and did the same. they closed their lockers simultaneously and swung their bags over their shoulders, walking towards jieuns locker.
"what are we gonna do about ethan" ava asked and mina sighed
"reject him as usual, just a lot quicker today so i can see seungmin considering they are gonna wait for us outside" jieun finally closed their lockers and the girls made their way down the hallway, felix joining in not too long after and intertwining his fingers with avas.
they stepped out of school and mina spotted ethan sitting on a bench, waving at her
"ugh I'll be back" she lazily walked over to the boy sitting at the bench. ava, jieun and felix walked towards their friends who were sitting at the bench farthest from the door.
"wheres mina" seungmin asked looking around
"rejecting someone, she'll be here in a sec" ava pointed behind her and he spotted the boy standing up and mina looking frustrated
"okay ethan what is it?"
"mina lee, i like you. no i love you, will you be my girlfriend" a crowd started surrounding them, most of them aware that she has a boyfriend and shook their heads in disappointment for him asking anyways. some girls awed at the scene
"im sorry ethan but i can't return those feelings" she politely rejecting him earning an 'oof' from some of the boys watching
"will you at least try for me?" he asked walking closer and holding her by the waist.
"ethan i have a boyfriend, im sorry" she tried to get out of his grip, but he was too strong. she looked over to her friends and tried to signal for them to help. felix noticed and ran her way
"come on dude, get your hands off my sister" felix added waiting for him to let go
"and what if i don't" ethan pulled her closer and she kept as much distance as she could from him
"then that's sexual harassment and it's a crime" he said in a duh tone
"you're just mad because your sister is actually getting someone" ethan was leaning in to kiss her and she was squirming trying to get away and closed her eyes.
when all of a sudden a cracking sound was heard and the crowd went 'oooh' there was suddenly a pair of warm arms wrapped around her. she didn't even have to open her eyes to know who it was, she could tell by their smell.
some girls squealed at the two thinking that they were cute. mina opened her eyes and looked up at seungmin who was smiling at her. she looked beside her to see an angry ethan on the ground
"don't touch my girlfriend" seungmin spat out, intertwining his fingers with minas and they walked out of the school yard
"ILL MAKE YOU MINE MINA" ethan yelled and they heard a slap. mina looked behind to see one of the girls who likes him slapping him across the face
"ethan, she's taken. you should know not to meddle with peoples relationships" she scolded him and he nodded. mina giggled at the girls actions and looked forward to their friends
"that one had to be the most intense one yet" ava laughed and the rest looked at her
"what? he's liked her since 10th grade, he asks her out every two weeks. the reason theres a crowd is because they find it funny to see him get rejected constantly" ava shrugged and they started walking home. seungmin took minas bag and put it on his back. he smiled at her while she ranted about her day at school telling him everything.
when they got back to their house mina and seungmin went to her room with the other girls and jaemin. considering he and jaemin didn't want to leave their girlfriends sides.
mina and seungmin were sitting against the head board, jaemin and jieun were cuddling on the small couch in the corner of her room and ryujin, yeji and ava were spread out along the floor.
"what's up with that ethan guy" ryujin asked whilst staring at the ceiling.
"yeah, isnt it kinda sad that he's asked you out so many times. i mean he isn't even ugly so why would he chase someone who'd just constantly reject him" yeji added
"I'm saying, like i even tried to talk to him after the 3rd time he asked her out" ava butted in
"i don't understand why he likes me but i didn't care then and i don't care now" seungmin smiled and put his arm around her as she cuddled into his chest. he pulled her closer to whisper something in her ear
"i brought you more hoodies"
