After Demi left I went back inside still confused about everything that just happened. Am I starting to develop feelings for Demi...no,no it's just me. I sighed in relief I didn't want to have feelings for Demi.
"Where's Lea?" I shrugged sitting on the couch
"I dont know she's been outside for a while. Shes probably still talking on the phone"
"And Demi" I looked at him and shrugged "c'mon Naya are you really going to push back those feelings you're developing for her"
"I don't have feelings for her okay"
She shook her head "Keep on saying that but sooner or later someones going to get hurt because of this"
Couple of minutes later Lea came back with tears falling from her eyes
"D-Demi she-she's been in an accident" My heard dropped
"I-is she going to be okay?" I asked trying to keep my composure
"I'm not sure, we have to go to the hospital to go see her"
Once we finished getting ready we took off to the hospital arriving there in a rush. We went to the front desk and asked the women for her room number
"Are you related to her?"
"I'm her cousin" Chris said. "Cousin" Lea said. I didn't even know what came out of my mouth I just said it
"I'm her girlfriend" The women raised her eyebrows at me "okay well shes in room 234 just go up this elevator across the hall and it'll get you there"
Once we were outside her room there was a nurse inside her room so we waited until she came out
"Are you here for Demi" we all nodded at the same time
"Okay well all of you can go in just try not to disturb or do anything that can cause her to-" we all passed by her and there was a chair next to Demi I cut in front of Lea and sat on it. She huffed and sat on another chair, I pulled my legs up my knees and hugged them
"Okay so I'll get a doctor over here to explain to you the injuries and stuff like that" she winked at me before leaving. Once I saw Demi plugged into all these machines it made my heart break little by little and she had a cast on her arm and leg which made me wonder what actually happened
"Hello I am Dr.Turner and I will be Demis doctor until she's in good condition. Now she suffered some pretty painful injuries. Broken leg, broken arm, and broken ribs" We all gasped at the injuries how can she go through so much
"She's in coma but we're not sure when exactly she could wake up. It could be days, weeks, even months. In rare cases years"
"Will she be okay when she wakes up?"
"Depends. Some people have memory loss, like amnesia. Others wake up normal like it never happened, sometimes the brain has a way of erasing the bad memories and this might be one. That's why patients don't remember anything most of the time after something like this happens" I intertwined my fingers with Demis. My breath hitched I hope that's not the case, I hope she remembers me once she wakes up.
"Thank you Doctor" Lea said.
"Hey guys I have to go. I have filming for a show tomorrow. Keep me updated on her condition okay" I leaned my head on the bed
"I don't get you Naya. One moment you're helping Demi and the other you're being cold to her. What is it?"
"I don't know that's just me" I shrugged looking at Demi, she had cuts all over the right side of her collarbone
"No it's not. You're very lovable, stop being so cold towards her and just accept the fact that you might actually like her" she got up "now if you excuse me I will be leaving to get some flowers not from here because they're expensive. Can you stay here by yourself without leaving or doing anything dumb" I nodded leaning against the bed again. I heard the door close and I looked at Demi, she's so beautiful what is wrong with me? My head was telling me it was my fault because of me this happened and I couldn't help but let out the tears that were forming in my eyes
"I'm sorry" I kissed her hand, so cold.
"I'm honestly so sorry for being so cold towards you. But you're so nice and cute and adorable I couldn't help but hate you, not because of the way you are but because of what I was starting to feel every time I was around you" I wiped my tears off
"Just please wake up so I can see those beautiful brown orbs again" I waited for something at least a hand movement but nothing. I sighed trying to contain my tears as I waited for Lea to get back.
20 minutes later Lea was back with a pair of lilies "I'm going to leave you coming it's getting late" I nodded and kissed Demis hand before leaving with Lea
(Next Day)
Last night I tried to sleep but I couldn't all I kept thinking about was Demi, Demi this Demi that, and her smile how I wouldn't see her smile in a while and how it was my fault she's in the hospital suffering because of me.
I got ready and left to the hospital hoping that no one was in her room, once I went inside her room the nurse was there doing something
"You're here early" she said turning around looking at me, she was probably around her twenties
"I came to see her" I shrugged of her intense staring and sat down on the same chair as yesterday. She eventually left leaving me in relief that no one was here yet. I looked at Demi and she looked the same as yesterday, I mean of course she did it the accident just happened yesterday. I grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it
"Hey Demi another day you're in here, I hope you wake up soon, I need to make this up I have to"
(1 month later)
"Those white roses are still there Dems, I miss you and your smile. I didn't know how much of an affect you had on me until now. I need you Demi" I kissed her cheek and left. Its been like this for a while just one side conversations, I brought her one white rose everyday hoping that when she woke up she would see all the other flowers with it.
Yes a month passed and her family had came the same week of her accident and they stayed here everyday, I wanted my alone time with Demi but they were here so that didn't happen until they went back to Dallas they needed to take care of something and that's when I started coming here everyday either in the morning or afternoon just to see her once was enough for me. It was hard trying to get away from Lea when she constantly asked me questions of why I am always away or how I haven't been to her house like I used to but truth was those times I was spending it here in the hospital with Demi.
"Your manager pushed back everything the music video and release of the song Dems. Your fans are here outside the hospital waiting for some good news, please make those good news happen soon Dems" I kissed her cheek, her cold cheek that I have gotten so used to.
