Overall the day couldn't have gone better. I mean I was with my girlfriend and my best friend the whole time and it was just refreshing hanging out so freely like this again especially with my two favorite people.
"I'm starving Demi" Naya whined as we walked inside the house
"Then go get yourself something to eat lazy" I pushed her playfully
"How about we go eat somewhere...fancy?!?" Marissa screamed out excitedly "I bet you haven't gone somewhere fancy in a while?" Naya shook her head immediately and grabbed my hands
"Can we? I'm starving and I kind of want some steak" I sighed
"Okay ye-" Before I could even tell them my answer they were out the door "Sure just leave me here, alone" I mumbled.
Once I got in the car Naya and Marissa were already ready with their seat belts on. "How did you two even get in the...- You know what I don't even want to know. So steak house Marissa...?" She eagerly nodded
"Where's that at?"
"Not far. The steak there is fantastic" I started driving to the place which was only 10 minutes away from my parents house. We arrived but there was a lot of people there so it was hard to find a parking spot, once I did find one Marissa ran out of the car while Naya stayed inside
"Thank you babe for everything today. And for showing me around. I know that you're still mad at me because we haven't came out to the public but I promise we will soon" Soon, how long is soon?
She got out of the car snapping me out of my thoughts when I heard the car door close. I got out and went with Naya following closely behind.
"Hello ladies what can I do for y'all?"
"Y'all?" I heard Naya whisper beside me
"Table for three please" the receptionist nodded only
"This way please." The lady led us to the side of the restaurant were you can basically see the whole restaurant and all the people eating. It was crowded but I didn't mind.
"Y'all?" Naya told me as we sat beside each other and Marissa across from us
"Yeah what about it?"
"Never heard of that" I chuckled
"You're a dork" She giggled shoving me lightly as our bare forearms touched, we were sitting maybe too closely from each other and if people( paparazzi) were here, they would definitely think there's something going on between us.
"Hello I will be your server for tonight. What can I get for you ladies?" We all ordered the same thing which was steak.
"I sometimes hate coming to restaurants because of how long they take to come with our order" The server came back with our drinks and smiled briefly at us before retrieving back.
As we waited for our food to be ready we talked about little things and how we were leaving tomorrow in the afternoon and how Naya had the best time here. The server or waiter came eventually with our steaks which looked extra good, maybe because I was so hungry. We started eating immediately, and Naya was eating rapidly, I was hungry but Naya...well she was eating extremely fast and was downing it down like it was a drink of water.
"This is so good, I think I'm in love" She turned toward me and she had a little sauce on the side of her lip
"Babe you have a little" I gestured towards her lip making her furrow her eyebrows
"What?" I shook my head and grabbed my napkin cleaning it off of her slowly and softly. I could've swore I saw a camera flash coming from someone or maybe I'm just being crazy right now.
"There" she smiled and continued eating her steak. I looked at her as she ate her steak, I probably looked like a creeper just looking at her but I couldn't stop looking at Naya. I finally looked away and towards Marissa who was grinning at us. I looked down and continued eating.
A couple of minutes later the waiter came back and asked us if we wanted anything else if not so they can bring the bill.
"Okay I'm honestly so stuffed. Dems what about you? You want something else?" I actually did want something else off the menu, maybe a sundae or a ice cream sundae but I didn't really want to tell Naya, she would probably think I'm fat. "Demi, you can tell me, I know you want something else. I would never judge you and you should know that" She stared deeply into my eyes as she said those words
"Um...Can I get an ice cream sundae" The guy wrote it down on his notepad, he simply said a 'thank you' and walked off. Moments later he came back with an ice cream sundae for me, I was already licking my lips, it looked so delicious.
"Are you just going to stare at it or are you going to eat it because if you don't I'll eat it for you" Marissa told me making me chuckle. I started eating the ice cream sundae which tasted great
"Damn Demi I thought you stopped eating stuff like that, that make you fat" I knew that voice. I looked up and saw Ruby standing in front of our table.
"Hey Ruby why don't you just back off" Naya was about to stand up but I grabbed her hand from under the table
"Tell your little girlfriend to cut down the treats" All those memories of high school when she used to bully me with her little crew and call me fatty because I always bought treats or snacks in school came back.
"Hey I said to-" I cut Naya off and got up coming face to face with Ruby
"Fuck off Ruby. Who even are you? A liar. You're a fucking liar. You're a bitch, a heartless bitch that doesn't care about no one, maybe because you actually never had that self confidence you needed back then that's why you bullied me. And you still aren't confident about your self right now, that's why you fucking have low self esteem. Please love yourself" I was about to sit when I felt a stinging sensation across my cheek
"Fuck you Demi. Fuck you" I punched her in the side of her stomach making her clutch her stomach and pushed her pretty hard making her fall on the floor. I was already walking towards her to at least throw in another punch but Naya and the workers of the place got there and told Ruby to leave and never comeback, and told me to calm down.
"Hey are you okay?" Naya was by my side immediately "Im sorry I didn't help you I told the manager and he said that Ruby works well worked here as a cook. Dont be mad at me" She fidgeted with her hands nervously.
"Babe I'm not mad, I finally got the guts to tell Ruby what I always wanted to tell her for awhile" She smiled but was immediately covered by a frown when her eyes traveled to my cheek
"She did this to you?" she touched my cheek softly
"Yes Nay, but nothing happened and it only hurts a little" She grabbed my hands and pulled me closer to her
"I want to kiss you so bad" Naya said giggling a little bit
"Then do it" she bit her lip looking at my brown eyes before kissing me in the middle of the restaurant. I saw camera flashes going off from inside the restaurant but I didn't care, because I was happy and the person that was making me happy was standing right in front of me with their lips on mine. Soon was now.
